The Starliner launch was scrubbed due to a failure of one of the three redundant systems managing the launch from ground control.
 
Let’s assume that the rocket eventually launches without a hitch. Then, we only need worry about the capsule and the astronauts within it.

I used to work a lot with Boeing, and back then, if they ever failed even 1 quality audit, heads would roll. Now, it seems, the norm is to fail multiple audits and that's "everyday at the office". I guess as long as every race on the planet is represented, they pass the DEI audit and that's more important.

Sadly, after the acquisition of McDonald Douglas, MD execs rose to takeover leadership. MD’s commercial aircraft operations and their last few products were plagued with problems. Recent leadership has been obsessed with stock price performance, and under them, quality has deteriorated. Even among the subcontractors. Enough whistleblowers have attested to the drop in QC, causing some to be pushed out, and others to quit. It’s sad, and one has to wonder about NASA’s due diligence when awarding them a contract for the Starliner.
