I’ve baited some guy with a deep quiver in the please delete thread, and he’s just not stopping. Humorous quickly became pitiable, and he’s still at it. It’s like feeding alkaseltzer to sea gulls.
 
In the early ‘80s, my grandmother had season tickets to the Flames. I took her to many games. We would sing both National Anthems. She professed that she thought Canada’s was prettier and easier to sing.
 
At the time, the most hated team (outside of Philadelphia) was the Flyers. My grandmother said that they didn’t know how to play hockey, so they played dirty. 😁
 
I’ve lived in metro Atlanta five separate times during my life (always for work). The best of those were when they had a NHL team.

The southern piedmont stretches from Northern Alabama through Georgia and the Carolinas to Virginia. I grow weary of the hot, humid summers. When the grandkids get out of high school, I am looking at the mountains of western North Carolina and Virginia. Winter days are ~5 degrees colder, but winters are short, and summer days of 90+ degrees are counted in the teens.

Western NC is already full of them "Halfbacks" who retired to Florida and then realized it's too humid down there. Traffic is a real problem in those mountain towns where the roads can't be widened any further. If you're already in the Tennessee piedmont, why wouldn't you stay there?

What’s paused my research into NC is the hurricane damage. That’s not going to be fixed anytime soon. However, if it cools down the real estate market, I may have another look.
