I would second that. Things had been trending this way but after the pandemic it went to another gear of stupidFirst of all - eek!!! I typed "whose" instead of "who's."
Secondly, the change since the pandemic is insane, and my friends who are teachers in schools say there are long-term teachers who are leaving because they're just finished. Parents, even ones who used to, as you'd say, thank you and had your back, are now suddenly offended by people trying to teach their kids basic manners (would be great if the parents would do it), or that the same rules that apply to other kids apply to their little darlings. I don't know how school teachers do it. I've always admired them and known I wouldn't have the patience, even before things went completely nuts. Now ... I really don't know how they do it!
