Bringing that thing in on 2 lb test line was masterful. I would have wanted at least a 30 lb test line for that giant.
That thing is also ugly as shit.
I hate unannounced "just dropping by" guests, especially when I'm in the middle of preparing dinner. Was planning on lamb chops, but with an unexpected showing up, I'm switching to spaghetti and meat sauce. Saves money.
I'll stash some frozen food thingie in the freezer for when this happens again. Dropping by during dinner time? Have some frozen food Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.

My sons dog Kobe is getting up there in age (he's 16) and isn't as spry, etc. anymore.
I've noticed that Jinks and Darby have started being kind of protective of him. Sometimes my son will pretend he's beating him up which is one of the ways he and Kobe have played since he was a puppy. Now when he does it, the cats will come over to make sure Kobe's okay. One time they did that running at him sideways thing. lol
Losing an animal is tough. Not getting any pets for a long while.

I think it's gonna be tough for my son. We got Kobe when he was 2 months old and my son was 12. In many ways, they grew up together.
It'll be interesting to see how soon he'll want another dog.
