tReal Official Night Shift v68, because I can and you better love it, Mfers.

You'd spend a hellava lot less than that. Seeing as how road kill scrap is what cheapass Costco puts in their cheapass hot dogs, you wouldn't last a month..
In the 80s, I was riding in my friend’s car headed to a party when he struck some quail flushing from the roadside brush. He stopped, pulled one out of the grill, brought it to the party, cleaned it, cooked it, and ate it. Fresh is the thing.

Not hard to tell which kids run their house with how they act. Then if you call their parents say that their kid would never do that…

A good thing about teaching tkd is even in this area (where people have way too much money and many of the kids are raised by nannies, either because both parents are "Masters of the Universe" types, or mommy needs someone to watch the brats while she goes and gets her nails done, goes to hot yoga, then, 30 seconds after saying "Namaste," hopes in her SUV and proceeds to scream at people on the road) is most parents who bring in their kids want them to learn discipline and respect - and most of them do.

The exceptions are so glaring, though. One of the worst is this girl who, even though she is now more advanced, still mouths off and rolls her eyes. I've had her held back from promotion because she's such a little entitled snit. She loathes me. :) The other main exceptions are about to have a rude awakening, since they're moving to the east coast, and their whole "we can bully others, but if anyone tries to tell us what to do, even an adult, we cry we are being treated unfairly," is not going to go over well. The weird thing about those two kids, though, is both their parents could not be more lovely, or considerate. I can almost always see how the kids are how they are based on the parents, but with these parents, these two boys should be lovely. They aren't.

Fat women and summer are a classic terrible combination.

Heehee.

I have most of them at a point all I have to do is give them a certain look - I don't even have to say a word, and they straighten their shit right up.
The little girl I mentioned (whose about 11 or 12 at this point) doesn't take my class anymore. She and her dadums even went to my GM to complain about me.

Oh, you poor thing, I'm so sorry I expect you to conduct yourself with a modicum of respect and decency toward others ...

Yes, but he peed on cans of Vienna sausage and Spam. The store people discarded two pallets of cans.

WTF! Just soak/wash the cans in a bleach/soap sterile solution, dry them off, and sell them.

I have worked in education for 25 years. The single biggest difference is the parents or lack thereof. When I first started, just the threat of calling home was usually enough to right those little urchins. And if I did call, the parents thanked you and had your back. Now? It's "not my kid" or "you are bullying or targeting my kid" or the worst of all "I can't do anything with them either, now they are your problem"

Got a letter from the HOA telling me they'll fine me $50 if I don't remove some weeds. I'll bite the bullet on this one, but I'm gonna sell as soon as the interest rates drop and build on my own lot. HOAs are from the devil.
We don't have one here thankfully. My FIL flat out refuses to even discuss moving to a place where there is an HOA. I like him

He's a wise man. I bought this place before it was completed and the HOA came with the deed and CCRs (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions). Got instant equity, but my patience and tolerance are wearing thin. I should cash out and move to a cheaper state and get land and acreage instead.
