WAR also undervalues first basemen. Might not be the most vital defensive position, but you definitely feel it when you have a bad defensive one out there. Freddie Freeman has saved countless throwing errors and WAR doesn’t account for that
In the bigs, I feel like it's hard to find a bad 1st baseman. And if they are bad, they hit a fucking ton.

Probably in the majority. Every once in a while you can find a team with poor pitching that wins by hammering their opponents into submission. A team with good pitching with bad hitting is fairly common amongst contenters.

2024 Braves had elite pitching and bad hitting, made the playoffs but were damn near unwatchable at times. 2023 Braves had an all time great offense and decent pitching. Much better product and much better team overall

Between offense, starting pitching and bullpen, if you had to choose two to be elite and one to be mediocre, I’d pick the mediocre rotation if the offense can hang crooked numbers and the pen can hold leads

John Paciorek, whose one-game major league career saw him go 3 for 3 at the plate with 4 runs scored and 3 RBI for the Houston Colt .45s. He was one of eight rookies Houston inserted into its lineup for the final game of the season against the New York Mets on Sept. 29, 1963 at Colt Stadium.
Although it was a meaningless game pitting ninth-place Houston against the 10th-place Mets, the 18-year-old Paciorek made the most of the opportunity. His three singles and two bases on balls were instrumental in Houston winning the game 13-4. He patrolled right field for Houston.
Despite his encouraging debut, Paciorek failed to make the team in the next year's spring training and spent the rest of his baseball career in the minor leagues. But when he retired, it was with a 1.000 major league batting average.
