Soccer coaches meeting last night. Daughter's team will be wearing pink jerseys this season. Don't know who else will be on the team yet, teams go out next season.

morning all, chaos in leaderboard in lawn bowling league
the final night started with 2 undefeated teams and by end, none remained (we beat one of them). Now there is 3 way tie for 1st and not entirely sure what team wins. We know one team is out as they lost h2h vs one of the one loss teams, but not sure how it shakes out with the other, could be interesting
we finished near the bottom, we had a bad season

I would assume there are tie-breakers built into the league. After H2H, probably points scored and/or point differential.
It's Minnesota rec sports. The winner will probably be decided in a drinking contest.

yes, of course but we weren't going to figure them out last night, we were able to rule out one team due to H2H though, but deciding first, no one knows...well, we will eventually, but no one really cared to figure out. Also there is no prize, so no one really cares

First official flag practice today. Be running from tackle practice to flag to get them running. Then back to tackle to pick Buck up & then back to flag to pick Grand & wife up.
Soccer practice won't start until the first week of September for Ham. Tank's still only doing games, which is nice. Not sure if I'm the head coach for Tank's team or not, not that it really matters. Herding 4-year-olds in soccer is basically just trying to keep half of them focused on even playing the game.
Been an interesting day on the street so far. The one house down the block that had a shooting incident a couple of years ago got raided by the cops this morning. Separately, an ambulance showed up while the hut-huts were still working and went into my neighbor's house. I wasn't able to see who they'd come for, hopefully it's not to take the old guy to the coroner's.

I don't have to coach flag thankfully. Just have the admin headaches. Starting to think though that next year will suck unless Buck transfers like Dodger did.

Your neighborhood is like an episode of Law & Order.
Street used to have some abandoned houses, most have been fixed up, which solved a bunch of problems. The "issues" now are mostly from the one house that got raided. Couple of the dudes there also have dirt bikes that they ride around the neighborhood for some reason.
Our next door neighbors are awesome, though. Made me sad when I saw the paramedics going in there.

In college there was a stand off with police and a guy on my street and I was completely oblivous. Park my car and walk to my house, and holy shit, a cop with a rifle is standing on my porch
Could'nt have been too serious though, police allowed people to go to/from their houses but they didn't want us out in our front yard

I rarely look outside. Heard some yelling and took a look, and there were like 15 hut-huts outside. No incidents as far as I'm aware, the one cop outside who had a gun drawn put it away about a minute after everyone else went in. Front curtains were drawn, otherwise I might have seen the set-up.

Man Ohio has some soft people lately. Wasn’t always like that so I'm not sure what changed. I have 4 towns listed on my profile, 2 are in OH. They are both in separate school districts but very close to each other. One is where my stepkids attend and the other was my mom’s alma mater & where family on both sides have lived (also house I sold was at). Anyway my mom’s alma mater can't help but cause they're own problems. Superintendent & 2 school board members tried to have their most successful coach follow their ways of how he should coach instead of his own. He smartly hired legal counsel & did not agree. Just so happens the other town in that district & where the school is at, is the place the moron admins reside. So I commented on OH football board that the town where the school resides is the issue & always has been. All of their success prior came from the little town in my profile. Shots fired & people coming at me all pissed.
