Oddly enough just changed it sunday because it was getting low. I've had this happen before, seems to only be when it is really cold outside. But I manned up and went out to make sure my kid and dog had a toasty truck to ride in.
I had that problem on my old Dodge 1500 about 10 years ago, but I'll be damned if I remember what the problem was.
It wasn't just because it was cold.
When I'd hit the remote button the lights would flash, it would crank a couple times, then stop. I'd then have to go out and manually start it with the key.
Could have been a weak truck battery (low cranking amps) and the remote start system wouldn't let it start. Cold reduces the cranking amps of a car/truck battery.
