Was a good long weekend for me...up to yesterday. 10 year old lab wasn’t doing so well last few days. Took him to emergency clinic yesterday. Got some treatment....likely kidney infection. Brought him home, went and picked up the groceries. Was putting them away and turned around and he was gone. Just like that.

Not a happy day here yesterday. Today isn’t looking too much brighter either.
Circle of life.

It’s always too early. We put the Golden Retriever down last year and he was nearly 14, which was very long for that breed. I was hoping at least 12-13 from this guy. Always young at heart....right up to recently.

But life has a way of taking such preconceived notions and putting them on their ear.
