I am not considering a riding mower.

or an electric mower. It would clog too often.

I've been reading some good reviews on newer battery mowers.

Rider I don't really want to deal with storage and I honestly don't mind the excercise to mow, except when it's 90+ and high humidity.

I suppose I could 30 inch toro push mower thats gas powered.

I prefer 30-50 lbs dogs.

I don't mind some small dogs, but there are breeds I wouldn't get, like a chihuahua, I've yet to meet one I like.
My brother has 2 chihuahuas. Asshole dogs.

agreed, my MIL and SIL have/had some and there was really only one that wasn't. My MIL has one that gets upset if any other dog besides him is getting attention

Unless you let the grass get way too long or mow early in the morning, it won't. I had a rechargeable mower that I had bought 8-9 years ago that could cut fine, just started losing juice after mowing about 3/4 of my yard. My dad decided to give me his gas mower and use the electric one, and it doesn't clog for him, either.

Would prefer having an electric, TBH. My old one just didn't have easy batteries to change out, so it was annoying. The new ones are apparently a lot easier to have multiple batteries (my neighbors use one and it works fine for them, about the same size lot as me).

My uncle has one. Little asshole ankle biter.

The pup bit the back of my brother's leg once, only got his jeans. My brother took two steps dragging the dog, and only realized what had happened because the rest of us were laughing.

I'm jealous of how quiet my neighbors is. I'd like to mow in silence

Grass hadnt probably been mowed in like two weeks before we moved in, so the mower kept crapping out eating a dickbags worth of grass for a while. Since then, it's been quick as tit and it's quiet like a Tesla.

When we bought the house, we should have hired a lawn service to come out. The grass was like a foot and a half high, had to cut most of it with a weed whacker to even be able to use a lawn mower. And we had a plug-in, not even a rechargeable mower.

it's fun to ride horses but i could not remotely fathom owning them and paying to stable em and whatever other shit that entails

I like my electric. Like you said the charging can be frustrating but it's enjoyable to use
