TX / tOSU scores & discussion

They seriously moved the game indoors because it was a little cold outside? It was supposed to be at the Cotton Bowl. :tsk:

We are in a distant last place in all of college football in opponent total penalties and penalty yards per game. Opposing OL's haven't been called for holding on us since it was 96 degrees out in Columbus (vs Marshall in mid-September), and we're currently on day 5 of snow cover and it's 24 degrees out. My take is the opposite of stupid.
Yup. We are on your end of the bell curve, but not on your level, true.

That Cotton Bowl hasn''t been played at the actual Cotton Bowl since what? 2013?

As for weather, it's been sleeting/snowing here north of DFW since about 7am. I'd say there is about an inch of accumulated snow on the roads and still falling. It's not dry snow either, it is mixed with rain/sleet. Supposed to keep up through early friday morning.
Do you need @Handicappers to launch a gofundhim ?

1. Sark, you’re a genius. The plays you dial up to keep defenses guessing are actual genius. You made Florida, for example, look foolish. And other teams. The downside of that scheming is that our plays take time to develop. What elite teams like UGA and tOSU can do is not mind the scheming and just go forward and win one on one matchups. And a decent amount of time they will. Here’s the cool part, you’ve already been showing tape of all your scheming throughout the season. You’ve already put in the work to keep defenses guessing. That means that you can reduce that kind of scheming, just play downhill, and the defensive coordinators, linebackers, and DBs will still have to mentally deal with that potential scheming to some extent. You’ve already put in the work. Reduce those plays from 1X amount to 0.25X, and just play downhill.
That leads us to….
2. LET. EWERS. EAT. Ewers is the most talented/experienced QB left in contention. If you slow down the scheming where he has to turn two different ways, roll opposite of his initial movement, and throw a blind pass in the flat hoping no one missed their blocking assignments, you’ll keep his eyes forward. Ewers will show you he is the best QB left. We can’t win at this level without great QB play. So logic suggests you LET HIM BE GREAT.
3. Take the ball first if you get a chance. Only once this year did we get behind the eight ball, and it didn’t work out. That’s a small sample size, but it’s a data point. Whatever strategy you gain by getting the ball in the second half is thoroughly outweighed by mitigating the chance we get behind too early.
4. And this is for all cfb… if we get a two score lead in the second half, do not dial up plays in the pick six zone AT ALL… or looks that have us throwing into double coverage; even if our speedsters have two steps on DBs. You’ve already earned that lead. Slow, meticulous drives that even end in a deep punt are absolutely acceptable when you have a two score lead at the end of the third quarter or beyond.

Can't wait to compare and contrast this to the "you face" level post we will get after Jexas gets their shit pushed in tonight.

Also just got out and the roads here on the north side of town are fine. Didn't hit any overpasses but the side streets are fine. Gonna freeze tonight for sure, but shouldn't be an issue getting into or out of the game. Unless Ohio residents are down to trying to "show us how to drive in the cold".

Jexas fans can write up a stupid thesis on what it will take to win, but too pussy to take an avy bet. :L

Looks like you’re going to have to take mine.

All Texas fans like balls FTW.
You’re on. We’ll come up with some funny shit.

Offer is still out for any and all Texas fans who decide they’re not baby bitches.

If I take the bet and lose, and you give me a new avy before @Red_Alert does then I think de facto avy bet rules dictate he has to wait.

Maybe I'll take your jexas bet after all
