Agreed.Tyreek's actions tell me that he's ready to max his bank account and coast to retirement. The Chiefs just got rid of that plus added potentially three more much younger & cheaper starters to their team in the process.
Laugh if you want to.LOL.
DeSean Jackson never seemed to really get worse. He kept rattling off 50+ yard touchdowns. He just couldn't stay on the field.Laugh if you want to.
Larry Fitzgerald was a possession receiver the rest of his career from 28 on. Calvin Johnson retired at 30.
Hill is the player he is because of speed. And that will be diminishing quickly.
This is an awful move by Miami imo.
Uhhh…. That dude caught more than 60 passes in a season once in the first place.DeSean Jackson never seemed to really get worse. He kept rattling off 50+ yard touchdowns. He just couldn't stay on the field.
Most receivers regress at age 30.Uhhh…. That dude caught more than 60 passes in a season once in the first place.
But it also was at 27. Hasn’t caught over 6 TDs since that season either.
One of the most overrated receivers of my lifetime.

That won't happen. He'd look pretty good in a Packer uni.
It's a comparison to another speed receiver rather than a possession receiver.Uhhh…. That dude caught more than 60 passes in a season once in the first place.

I would hope so. It's not like anyone tells their agent, "Fuck this Super Bowl-caliber team, good QB and Hall-of-Fame coach -- I want to play for Miami!" unless it's for a boatload of cash.I concur with @SU Nittany Tide here. At first glance, it seems like it made the Chiefs weaker; but Tyreek's actions tell me that he's ready to max his bank account and coast to retirement. 28. And he has 6 NFL seasons on those legs. For an undersized speedster, that's a career. Not saying it's a cliff, but he is on the downside of his career at this point. You won't see a scat back with that kind of mileage playing at the same level above 30. He will find he can't outrun or out cut the guys 7 years younger than him.He is only 27....
The prime years for most receivers are 8 seasons. There are very few that will excel beyond that.28. And he has 6 NFL seasons on those legs. For an undersized speedster, that's a career. And those that do are the larger bodied ones that are able to run perfect routes, or tiny possession WR's who go 9 yards to catch the ball and fall down. Think Welker or any of the white short WR's that fit his body type. The prime years for most receivers are 8 seasons. There are very few that will excel beyond that.
Hill seemed to regress last season.Bucky isn't wrong; but in fairness to Tyreek, Tyreek turned a lot of plays that would've gone for short gains for other guys into big gains. He's replaceable, but not easily replaceable with the same dynamic production Tyreek gave them. Reid is going to have to adjust his gameplan; but the Chiefs will be just fine.
That won't happen.
Prior to it. 30 is old for a skill position. Most receivers regress at age 30.
