UCLA a bunch of pussies ...

It’s interesting how other fans give the SEC crap about our OOC scheduling but the second UCLA gets in the B1G and has to play a decent schedule they are shedding SEC games like the plague.

Take note because it will hard for Auburn and Florida at least and possibly Georgia to find replacement games worth a shit to replace these games.

I don’t want to hear ANY OOC BS when they can’t.
Yeah, we picked up Marshall. Not too bad, but not playing UCLA in the damn Rose Bowl. I was looking forward to that trip.

The Rose Bowl is a shit hole.

Most iconic photo opportunity outside the stadium with the 50ft palm trees but other than that everything is 50 years out of date.

Understood, but so is Wrigley. That's not why you go.

Wrigley nicer than Rose Bowl and great entertainment district right outside of it.

Everybody should go to Wrigley.

Everyone should get their picture taken outside the Rose Bowl and then drive to San Diego to visit the Gaslight District and spend as little time as possible in LA.

Same concept ... I've been to Wrigley 20 times in my life. It's a shithole compared to new stadiums, but that's ok because it's Wrigley. As @Deep Creek points out, same with Fenway. You look forward to going to Rose Bowl game because it's the Rose Bowl, not the amenities.

Do you think that conference realignments may have played a part in this? Do you think that once the SEC and the BLOAT get their respective schedules in a groove, they may want to schedule some cross-conference home & aways?

When the PAC was more than two left out schools, Tennessee scheduled some home & aways with left coast schools.

Even the Almost Coast Conference has some sorting out to do.

There are plenty of great places in LA County that are better than the Gaslight District, but I agree the Rose Bowl is shit. I did get to see Alabama beat Texas there from the sidelines for the National Title so I have positive memories there, but I also have several shitty ones.

Yeah, I love LA. I've been fortunate to go there about 50 times on business the last 25 years. I have a blast every time I go. There is so much to do ... I love hiking in the West Hollywood hills as the sun goes down and the city lights go up. It's the most peaceful thing. If I were rich, I could easily live there. When we went to the TCU natty game, we went in 4 days early and enjoyed the shit out of LA.

I’m a pretty big dude and what I’ve found is the older the stadium the smaller the seats and I’m at an age where standing sideways due to space constraints is a pain in the ass. At the Super Dome in New Orleans my friend and I couldn’t really get our knees squeezed in because of space.

Then you go to Atlanta and you realize that “amenities” are really really nice.

My new rule is if a stadium hasn’t been built or upgraded in the last 20 years it’s not worth going.

I lived there for almost 5 years. I enjoyed it, but too many damn people. I particularly enjoyed the beach cities. I lived in Rolling Hills and spent a good bit of time on the coast. Don't think I saw 7 days of rain the whole time I lived there.

I get you, but if I am STM, I want amenities. If I am going to iconic stadiums on a one-off, I don't care.

San Deigo is the best part of California and I'm not wasting any time or money anywhere else in that state when I can go to other places.

This is so ignorant on so many levels:

- Parts of LA, if you can afford it, are unreal.

- The NE part of the state is gorgeous.

- And then you have Yosemite and the other National Parks.

- There is Napa

Hell, I am not sure San Diego is even in the top 5. But carry on about California being a shithole.

Cal and Florida also cancelled. I think the PAC schools will schedule closer OOC opponents from here on out

If the PNW schools keep the instate rivalry games, I would guess Oregon and Washington wouldn't schedule other power conference teams OOC? Would the Oregon and Washington fans be okay with basically having the same schedule every season? Unless OSU and Wazzu become to bad it's just like playing a G5 team(which I'm guessing will happen)

I didn’t say a shithole that was reserved for the Rose Bowl.

I said San Diego was the best part of California and I stand by that. I’d rather live in SD than LA or San Fran.

Never been to Nappa but that really isn’t a city either so we can leave wilderness and rural areas out of my statement due to inadequate info.

I could live in SD the others I couldn’t.

I wouldn’t assume:

1) Oregon will play OSU every year after 2025
2) Oregon wouldn’t play a P4 opponent in the same year

Oregons schedule is full after 2025 without OSU. It’s possible they move things around to accommodate OSU. It’s also possible that they don’t.

Maybe, maybe not. They certainly reworked things around for this season to still play OSU. And it appears even lost a home game in the process. I can see something similar happening after 2025. I'd say getting rid of the 2 for 1 with Utah State would seem pretty easy to do. Although I think Oregon going Logan would be pretty awesome. But that was agreed to well before all this realignment crap went down.
