Bookie:
$ 1,000.00
Seems like UGA wants to tie him down for a while. 3 year deal which basically let's them tell the Mannings that he will be around for as long as Arch is.

He doesn't seem to be on the road a lot ... they send out everyone else and he tends to the the offensive guru who meets with them in Athens and shows them what they will be doing. So, unless he gets offered an NFL HC gig, he will be around for a while.

This is old data, but I am seeing:

Venables (Clemson) - $2.5 million
Tony Elliott (Clemson) - $2.13
Mike Elko (ATM) - $2.1
Todd Grantham (UF) - $1.81 LOL

Three of those are gone to HCs or fired. Lanning was making $1.7 million at UGA and he is gone.

Sorry, @Thiefery , this locks up Manning to Athens.

lol you think Monken is tied because of 2 million as a coordinator?

I do ... I get what you are saying, but you are missing the context. Monken has already been a HC in college for 3 years, and the scuttlebutt is that he doesn't really have a desire to do that again. He isn't Mr. Social guy who wants to be on the road all the time recruiting ... he's more of an Xs and Os kind of guy - notice my reference to that in my post. So, your photo is irrelevant and doesn't prove what you think it does. Elliott is 42, Monken 56, and Elliott has only ever been an OC. Monken is kind of quiet and cerebral ... more of a life long coordinator working in the background on the O. As I also mentioned in my OP, the main thing might be that he could get more in the NFL. $2 million is a lot, but some NFL OCs make more. If he got tired of recruiting, he might jump, but as I also pointed out in my OP, he isn't asked to be out on the road a ton ... he's the Xs and Os and film guy they bring the Arch's of the world to.

Tennessee is paying a recruit more than that and he hasn't even stepped foot on campus. :pound:

we'll see how it plays out.. I hope Arch comes but if not, it won't be the end of the world.. '24 class has some really good prospects.. I'm intrigued with that Sayin kid

BTW, he gets offered HC money, he’s gone. Just not sure I see it.

Agree … we too are loaded at QB for the future. Also, wherever he ends up he is going to have a ton of pressure to live up to … the hype, the name.
