I was thinking the same thing but it is pretty par for the course with regard to some of the posts/threads that have been popping up this week.

Let's face it UT turned themselves in just so they didn't have to buy Pruitt out and it is probably going to work for them but damn that was a hell of a roll of the dice. NIL negating the acts and a weak NCAA definitely work in your favor. On the flip side, this might be the last chance the NCAA has to attempt to make themselves relevant so they could go for broke but doubtful they have the juice.

The interesting part is what is the NCAA going to do to Pruitt who has vowed to spill the beans on everyone else (I mean the dude's wife just got drug through the mud). I imagine there are quite a few programs out there that are still a little nervous and actions behind the scenes to make this go away. If Pruitt doesn't get paid something, can't land another job because of infractions, and starts spilling on Kirby and Saban then I might have to buy a whole truckload of popcorn.

Pruitt was awful. It wasn't just the losses but how we lost them at times. I think we had far more blowouts under Pruitt than we did under Butch Jones and Derek Dooley.

Some of our SEC opponents were also tougher in the Butch Jones/Derek Dooley era.

Butch Jones, in all fairness, is probably a decent coach. His MAJOR downfall is that he runs the same offense regardless of his roster. His offense worked, to a degree, with Josh Dobbs but failed once Dobbs left. Had Butch been willing to make adjustments, we likely have 10+ win seasons in 2015 and 2016 and he is still coaching Tennessee today.
 
I find it interesting that vols fans on Twitter are taking some sort of victory lap, because of what they did, and how they don't have Schiano because of it. You suffered through 3 more shitty seasons with Pruitt, now have a slew of violations on the program, and are all of a sudden thumping your chest because Heupel went 7-6 last year and Schiano went 5-8 as if that's something worth bragging about? Are you really out here trying to compare yourselves to, literally, one of the worst CFB programs of all time?

I'm off the mind frame that the program would have been better off with Schiano the last 4 years, than the dumpster it has been, but maybe that's just me.

Tenn hasn't finished in the top 10 in 20+ years. Tennessee hasn't captured the league crown since 1998 and hasn't even won the SEC East since 2007!

I'm old enough to remember a time when the Tenn Vols were a powerhouse.
