Piggybacking off something Nos talked about, I didn't realize till looking into it what Joe Klecko was as a DE before he moved inside. By the time I saw him play he was a DT. 1981 was the last year the NFL didn't keep stats for sacks. That year Gastineau had 20 sacks...and Klecko had 20.5. I honestly didn't know that

Happy to educate you my friend. I didn't say he couldn't play there, just that it wasn't a good move.
Randle's career high in sacks playing DE was 10.5. He had a career high of 15.5 sacks as a DT. Considering sacks from a 3Tech makes them rare and special, I would say he is a good DE and a great DT.
Joe Klecko had a career high of 7.5 sacks as a DT. Very impressive. He had a career high of 20.5 sacks and was the AP AFC Defensive player of the year as a DE. Anthony Munoz said he was on the exact same level as Bruce Smith as a DE. So he was a very good DT and a great DE. Clear it up Bro?

Edit: I was like 85% joking on my comment, but my sarcasm doesn't always come across. The 15% though I was completely serious.

Seems like his knee probably cost him some burst to be DE after 82. Otherwise why the hell would you move the defensive player of the year lol

That's exactly what it was. Injuries wrecked his career, great player but would have been first ballot HOF IMO
