GAME UNC @ NCSU on ESPN

How does that work?

If Wake Forest loses, it would be a three way tie with Clemson, Wake and NC State. Clemson beat Wake, Wake beat NC State, NC State beat Clemson.

What tie breaker would eliminate Clemson?

NC State has the head to head against Clemson. To get in they needed NC State to lose last night.

For Clemson to make a return trip to the Dec. 4 title game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, the Tigers need N.C. State (8-3, 5-2) to lose at 7 p.m. Friday (ESPN) at home against North Carolina (6-5, 3-4); and for Wake Forest (9-2, 6-1) to lose at noon Saturday (ESPN 2) to Boston College (6-5, 2-5). Clemson has a tie-breaker on Wake Forest but not N.C. State because of head-to-head results.

Watching... not a Tim Beck fan but would like to see NCST win nonetheless....

Tim Beck still has a job? Literally wasted one of the most talented Ohio State teams I've ever seen

The Wake loss to UNC didn’t count on the conference record, if Wake loses today, all 3 will be 6-2 in the ACC. NC State has H2H against Clemson, Wake has H2H against NC State, Clemson has H2H against Wake.

It’s not H2H that eliminates Clemson, it has to be some other tie breaker. Wake probably beats BC so it doesn’t matter, but if Wake loses, it’s like that Oklahoma-Texas-Texas Tech deal in the old Big 12 South in 2008, just with much less on the line

if Wake loses, all three schools are 6-2

i think after that it goes to the divisional records

Wake would be out b/c they would have 2 Atlantic division losses, while NCSU and Clemson would only have one each. NCSU owns the head to head over Clemson.

I think that is how it would work, but I'm not 100% positive.

Here's an article that delves into the tie breakers, but warning it is enough to make ur nose bleed.
