The thing I remember and liked the best, was the weekly game picks contest. That was really fun keeping track of everybody's results.
 
Hey Friends! I just got back from a successful and fulfilling Power Wheeling! I had to PAY $5.31 to return that $48 pond filter, oh that sucks but hey, my Inner @Dole ver 2.0 is very UPSET! And my Inner Junkie, SO impatient! I couldn't even stop to take pictures without him griping and complaining! This is a day in the life of the Guide Bear...

Every time I go Power Wheeling I see this same rock in the road and I kind of want it for my fish tank.

It might weigh 40 pounds or thereabouts, so instead I found a smaller one to take home.

I picked that rock up on the way back and after I got beat up for 5 bucks at the UPS store, my Inner Junkie made me go full tilt to the Vape Store where we SCORED!

And then on the way back I stopped at Publix and got me 4 Donuts! Okay friends, I must appease my Inner Junkie before things get Ugly, or worse HEAVY!

Now just because @Handicappers is an esteemed Crew Mate and all around Good Fella, it don't mean he is a 'Handy Man' per say!

All Crew Mates are very capable individuals in their own right, however, Do NOT ever refer to the Crew Master as a 'Handy Man'!

There ain't Jack Shit "AVERAGE" about the Crew Master and if he is ever mocked as a mere 'Handy Man', the mocker or mockers will have extremely HEAVY problems dealing with the Upstanding and Unrelenting Crew personnel!

There was another time with some peanuts and something else, I don't remember. That wasn't me either.
And I had nothing to do with the duct tape incidents.
I just played the juke box, mostly.

It's late but I'm wide awake and I have things to be discussed! By the numbers, again!

1. I went on a very long Power Wheel trip today! Pay attention, some good things were observed. When I leave my sub division I have to cross a two lane road, speed limit 35 and it is the ONLY intersection on my entire route where there is no crosswalk for pedestrians or Idiot (savant) like myself crossing the busy road on an Adult Power Wheels. The thing is, it is a must that I cross at that point.

Because there are no sidewalks on my side of the road. And remember that striped rock that was in the road that I wanted? It was gone today! Anyway I went on my usual trek and it would normally end at the Vape Store but today I learned there is enough sidewalk to go all the way to the Liquor store! And I went there too. But I didn't buy anything. But now if I want some fancy booze the way I like it, I'm on it!
I like to beef up a tasty drink with vodka! I HATE gin!

And when I left Dacula Bottle & Cork, I went all the way to Ace Hardware, about 3 more miles away yet. They were closed but I didn't care because I had no idea the side walk went that far. And the side walk actually ends right before Ace, I had to pull in the Dairy Queen parking lot next door to get onto the Ace lot. I'm going back in the morning to get some plumbing stuff.

2. I lost two of my swimmers. RIP Baker Mayfield and Candy Corn. Here's what took place. I put a pair of kiddie pools outside to propagate plants and I put those two in one pool and John & Christmas Candy in the other pool. On the deadly pool the filter was close to the edge and the bubbles were all bubbly and overflowing a tiny bit... My swimmers didn't jump I don't think, I think they sorta just flopped about in the bubbles and just fell out. Because they were laying right beside each other. If you look close their lifeless bodies are visible.

They only cost 34 cents each but I had them Christened and Baptized and now what?

3. Good Morning Dumbest Dummies & Friendliest Friends! I only 'need' one more day spent on my aquarium and then my needs shift to getting some real work done upstairs. The dining room and the front room will be getting worked on and when those rooms are wrapped up, Bunny is going to have a very nice looking first floor.

But my aquarium, after I returned that 48 dollar box filter, I found another brand of the same type of filter for only 18 bucks so I bought it and am very pleased with it. For 48 bucks I was like, I could make my own! But for 18 bucks,
 
4. Aquarium. Most of the time spent 'working' on it is just looking at it, DUH! Anyway I got a lot done fish tank wise today.

Here's that new box filter in action. And its 'action' is identical to the action that the $48 filter delivers. The difference is the build. The 48 buck one is heavy duty thick ass plastic, one could stomp about on it with no degradation of service. Now the 18 dollar one, it's made with thinner plastic and a clumsy hoof would pretty much crush it into disuse.

This 18 dollar pond filter works exactly like 48 dollar one... for THIRTY dollars less! I betcha that @Dole ver 2.0 is proud of me now!

In the middle picture, the one with the filter, what are those two things in the front? Are they live or are they decorations? What ever they are, they look good in the tank.

But that new pond filter is a much better mechanical filter than the sponge I had been using. I also have activated charcoal in that pond filter too. Charcoal can remove toxins and other unwanted elements from the water in a process called 'adsorption' as opposed to absorption. The way I read it, it seemed similar to ABsorption but maybe on a much smaller scale, like microscopic?

I wanted to show this picture to see how clear the water looks from end to end. The algae is totally under control and this set-up is almost maintenance free now. That out of sight and out of mind under gravel filter has this thing in full control.

That algae bloom I had was wild! I wonder if the under gravel filter was not yet 'alive' so to speak, and if that algae bloom was part of the process?
 
Okay, I have one more picture. It is a third kiddie pool for plants and it has no bubbles or filter, just plants. I laid that pot on the side because when upright, the crown of the lily pad plant was exposed out of the water. The main reason for this post is that I saw 2 tiny tadpoles in there yesterday and If I saw two, more likely there are a lot more of them. Smaller than a grain of rice. It will be big fun to see what they become.

Now I think most of yins are aware of my Cycling Prowess since I did indeed win the 2021 Tour de France, the World's premier cycling event. However, this year I won't be racing as only 'Human' competitors are allowed to race due to my humiliating defeat of the World's top cyclists. So this Summer I will be calling the race in the booth! It's not a bad gig! All kind of bennies!
