That one is totally drop down. There are others with doors that close. Those take longer because the hog has to actually go into the trap. They say you’d need to let a few go in/out over the course of a few days so they all would feel comfortable going in…

Pretty common practice to keep track of a deer through different seasons. I can pretty identify any notable deer I get on my cams

I got into watching those videos as well.

Those hog traps are something. I learned that they are round because when they were square the hogs would use one another to climb out at the corners. Also, the later generation round ones had an awning of sorts on them to prevent some hogs from just climbing the damn things to get out.
