UNLV qb quits over NIL dispute

Spread opened at -3 for Unlv vs Fresno this weekend. It’s currently Unlv -2. 1 pt line movement for losing your starting qb is telling
I have to wonder if these two guys got their bets in before jettin..

That’s exactly right, nothing to make the players honor commitment or even for the nil deals to be honored. It’s the Wild West. The players have the best of all worlds right now, stuff like this will kill the golden goose eventually.

He was promised $100,000 allegedly. Thats got to be at least worth $100,001.

Man, if Las Vegas businesses came together to buy “Amateur football players “, UNLV could be a perennial powerhouse.
Not much return for LV businesses there though.

Guess they poked the Bear too many times.

If I were a college coach/scout I'd avoid IMG kids like the plague.
We've had no issues with the players we have gotten from IMG as of yet :)

The majority ended up at IMG for a reason. That may be can't make grades at a real school, or are out hunting for monetization chances that won't stop at college.

I read somewhere the average G5 starting QB pulls in an estimated $116K per year while the average starting P4 QB rakes in about $814K. Not sure how accurate that is or if it’s even quantifiable though.

I am sure the average is around that, but the median would be much lower. You have the one off 12M QB in P5 that skews everything.
