I picked up a new basil plant a couple weeks ago because I decided to let the purple one flower, since the hummingbirds seem to really like it. I put the new one on the ledge while i got around to repotting it. I just noticed it was missing, so I looked high & low for it (the deck is only so big, but still... I looked!). Motherfucking squirrels! Knocked it down into the neighbor's yard and ate the shit out of the leaves! It was a nice bushy plant and it's all stripped and forlorn now. Bitch ass SQUIRRELS!!

Anyone try one of these "apple cider donut" dealabobbies? I keep hearing about them and found a recipe for an apple cider donut loaf cake, but i'm on the fence about it. I'd also like to know if I could pour the loaf batter into a donut pan and have success. Why is baking so sciencey?
