Updated SOS - Post Week 13

Why isn't playing an FCS team not part of the sos metrics? Please correct me if I am missing something.

Your double negatives are confusing.

It is part of the calculation. Why shouldn't it be?

Just wondering, as it didn't show any sos numbers when facing an fcs team. Does the mighty sec get a lower sos when facing these cupcakes late in the season?

263 teams are ranked. Not sure what you are talking about.

Most of the SEC teams have an extra cupcake on their menu compared to most other conferences, therefore this graphic is a wee bit misleading. Most teams only have two Wofford/Mercer/etc's on their schedule, Most SEC schools have three Wofford/Mercer/etc's.

Nice try though...but, not really?

Exactly. Much easier to make a bowl with 4 ooc games

wait we have 3 wofford/Mercers?
Michigan? Check Colorado St? check UTEP? Check ULM? X :( (have one more game to become bowl eligible..vs the rajun cajuns who are 9-2)

but if ULM gets the upset, they too should rush the field

Iowa State checking in with 4
South Carolina don't GAF who those four bowl-eligible teams played, just so long as we beat em

Can't wait to wack Illinois in the Citrus Bowl

Unfortunately, several FCS teams are probably better than my team...and several other FBS teams. So if Nebraska and Tennessee get to count their game versus us in the SOS, they should get to count FCS teams.

That said. I'm with you. I think they should only count games against decent teams in their SOS formula. Problem is there isn't agreement on the definition of "decent".
