It was a ball that was air mailed 25 yards behind him. Its a loose ball/fumble. What is the defense supposed to do, allow him to pick up a ball run/kick. That is the dumbest thing on the planet. You can't reward teams for air mailing their punter. That is horrific.

You can't tackle the punter lol. At least not in any version of football that I have heard of.

Perhaps you are getting mixed up with that old N64 NFL BLITZ which didn't have PI or any penalties. I loved tackling WRs to prevent them from catching the ball in that game.
 
He is running down a kick 25 yards behind him...it was NOT obvious a scrimmage kick would be made. It is a terrible call. Period. You are an idiot if you think it was

According to the NCAA rule book, a punter “does not automatically lose his protection unless he carries or possesses the ball outside the tackle box.” Since Goodfellow immediately kicked the ball after picking it up and didn’t run toward either sideline, he was still in the tackle box at the time of his kick. And Norris was just a fraction late on the tackle.

It was NOT a kick, it was a ball Snapped directly over his head.
 
There was quite a few games where the lower/unranked team was favored over the higher ranked team. I think that’s crazy.

You are a dumbass....read the rule. When it is obvious a scrimmage kick will be made. Doesn't matter if he is in the tackle box.
