It's not uncommon to have an 'Upset Saturday' in the month of October. Not every season, but we haven't had one yet this season.

Upset Saturdays shake up the CFB polls. Everything people thought they knew turns to shit for that one week.
Upset Saturday's typically start with an early game upset and coaches can use that as motivation in the locker room "They did it, see it can happen, you can do it too". It's a motivation that builds the rest of the day.

Being the 29th there is also the whole Halloween atmosphere in the stands that can favor home teams. It's CFB.

If #14 Utah loses @ Washington St on Thursday night it could set the stage.

I had to ponder on the OP. Great thread. I could see some of these happening. I am not sure a couple could be considered an upset. Here are the most likely candidates:

Ohio State at Penn State - This is possible and would be the biggest one IMO. That being said, I am leaning towards Ohio State winning it.

Oklahoma State at Kansas State - Not sure this would even be a massive upset but definitely this one seems like a good candidate

Wake Forest at Louisville - Louisville does seem hot but Wake's offense maybe too much

Illinois at Nebraska - I am not even sure this would be that big of an upset

Cincinnati at UCF - This one seems very likely IMO

Ole Miss at Texas A&M - I think this one is very likely as well

Notre Dame at Syracuse - Syracuse could be in for a let down and ND has been improving

TCU at West Virginia - Explained this one in playoff thread. Only reason it is on list is long distance of travel, WVU has an offense (but no defense) to match TCU in a shoot out, and TCU could be in for let down after Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State run.

I really don't see the rest happening. Perhaps Pitt at UNC but Pitt's offense has been dreadful the last couple of weeks. It is very turnover prone. Great comparison would be how Iowa was playing against Ohio State last week. (I have watched Pitt since they were a Tennessee opponent. Man have they regressed as the season has went on). Pitt has the team to beat UNC but the two programs are spiraling in very different directions with UNC getting better and Pitt regressing.

Fun Fact - Harbaugh is 1-3 against Michigan State at home as a head coach.
Yeah... This^^^. I wouldn't take the Wolverines and 17 points if ya gave it to me. This is that voodoo crap that the Spartans have over Michigan.

I would still take Michigan -24

Well
I'm fully expecting to be upset when Iowa State kicks our ass.

ND struggled to put away UNLV. Honestly they were on the plus side of the field all day and still struggled to find the end zone. I expect SU will beat them down in their own house.

I haven’t checked the lines, but I wouldn’t be shocked if ND is favored over Syracuse

True, and before that Michigan State is always dangerous for Michigan. Watch out for a possible riot if Sparty pulls off an upset. Couches and police cars have a habit of combusting when this happens.

Syracuse offense doesn't really impress me overall.

I think Tucker is a great RB but he's kind of handicapped by the rest of the offense.

I think ND can keep them from scoring much. Question is can ND score themselves.

Sparty is pretty bad this year, I know Harbaugh has had his troubles with them but I'd be very surprised if Michigan wins by less than like 21.

Michigan is liable to run for over 300 yards. Their Run D is trash.
