Urban Meyer.......

Urban never seemed like he really wanted to be there in the first place, kind of puzzling all around. Even if he was "into it" he was likely to not succeed but woof what a mess.

I think he honestly thought that this would be no different than any other place that he's coached. Figured he's come in, maybe struggle for the first couple of games and then start winning.

He found out that the NFL is a different animal. Plus, these are grown ass men...several of whom make more than him...they're not going to put up with the shit that college kids will. Especially if they're not winning.

It really seems like he's been trying to get fired. Lol.

Him calling the coaches he picked terrible and a bunch of losers was pretty hysterical. Either he completely lost his mind or was looking for a way out.

MI just puts up statues and names buildings after their scum bags. Much better to fire the scumbags than to idolize them.

He's appeared to look for ways out of situations where his team was winning, so it certainly makes sense that he'd do the same in a situation where he's losing.

Especially when he can't control every aspect of the organization like he could in college.

There are lots of college coaches who get into the NFL and realize they're in over their heads. Matt Rhule, for example, looks out of his depth but also seems intent on figuring it out. Urban was just never interested in trying to adjust. Bully coaching works at youth levels. Pros will just tell him to go fuck himself, especially if the team is losing.

It's hard to fathom why he would take the job in the first place if he was never interested in really trying or why Jacksonville could have possibly thought it was a good idea to hire him.

Was listening to sport radio this morning, and they think there may be a "for cause" claim to be made.
i was thinking they would do something to not pay him the whole deal but even if he gets half in negotiations.. He made out like a bandit for lasting less than a year.

Why Jacksonville didn't fire him with cause when his handsy video at his bar came out is beyond me.

Is there a single Ohio state coach besides cooper who didn’t get fired for being a scumbag?
Earle Bruce. He was a decent guy no off field issues, players seemed to like him. He couldn't beat Michigan that was his greatest sin

So we've come to the conclusion that the only coaches at OSU that weren't scumbags were incapable of beating Michigan.
