again false Oregon has history. bad history is still history. smart duck fans know this. acknowledging history in what ever form is different than thinking that it has bearing on the now. recent history has more merit to now than history from any year that starts with 19--
Oregon won the Pac in 94. ok does that really matter in who is favored in 2022? no. Oregon won the Pac in 19 and 20 and won the North in 21. does that matter in in 22? not entirely but still means more than 1950, 1975, 1994, 2000, or 2010.

so reading comprehension is tough for you? history isnt only about National championships. as i said bad history is still history. having bad teams but still having players like Renfro, Fouts, and Rashad is still having history.
still none of it matters into 2022. just like USC's past National Championships.

still doesnt mean national championships are the only piece of history that matters. ask college players who won the 1937 National Championship and see how many know. ask if they did know it would be a factor in where they went to play. ask if they would want to play for that team (s) because they won that championship. acknowledge that the schools that are recognized as champs have multiple to their name. then tell them its Cal and Pitt. does it matter still?

Yeah, but that would 18 teams, the rest wouldn't divide into 4 pods as easily. That's why I was thinking 5 or 6 PAC teams and maybe one Big12 team should they only use 5 PAC teams.

I feel like this is an eventuality anyway, so I wish they would rip the bandaid and get it over with.

yep I agree, I was told that UT would have to bend the knee, kiss rings and be told what to do for everything. SEC power structure is evenly split, there's no favoritism.. ask Mizzu

Agreed ... on these discussions I try not to get to tied up in exact teams ... who knows who makes sense. To me the more interesting aspect of this is simply that the B1G might be considering expanding coast to coast. The SEC at 16 makes sense with 4 x 4. Never thought through what 5 x 4 would look like or mean.

No one will do anything more until the new contracts are signed. Too much money at stake if the rumors of the SEC and B1G at 110 million range each year starting in 2026.

Other than fans like me, no one will ask UT to kiss the ring. But the SEC won't kiss UT's ass either, and that's what UT is normally used to. The only favoritism you hear is Bama, and that's just envy for the most part.
