USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

Bring in 6 PAC teams and ND. 3 7 team divisions 2 rounds of conference playoffs with 3 Champs and a wild card. 10 game schedule 6-2-2. 2 OOC with emphasis on playing G5 teams. Share the wealth with lower division. Double their payouts.
i'd think it would be
oregon, washington, stanford, ucla,sc
nu, wi, iowa, mn, IL
NW,IN,purdue, ND, psu
tosu, UM, msu, ru, md
4-5-5 setup
looks like they can set up a mini playoff but for now, just the two best record schools in the CCG

Durn, dude, how many houses you got???

Also, the point is that most "cold weather places" are done playing football before winter hits.
Oklahoma, Texas and Oregon. Here's a link. Now start plugging some numbers into it and then imagine what the California boys are going to be thinking when they step off the plane in November playing those away games.
Wind Chill Calculator

I have frozen my ass off sitting in the stands in Lincoln in November. All you B1G apologists who are claiming it's not cold as hell in that part of the country in November are full of it. The killer is the wind. If it's 39 degrees with a 20 mph wind what's the wind chill? I'll figure it for you. It's 29 degrees. And you think someone used to 60 degree weather from California won't be affected? Yeah....you hold on to that thought.
So now the California schools can't handle fall weather. Play water polo, not football, then.

It was kind of a joke, but doable. ND already travels coast to coast.

No one is claiming they will be dying on the sideline. But inclement weather affects athletic performance. You ever hear about teams from the North having to go to the South and play a game when the heat index is 105 and they're used to living/practicing/playing in 75 to 80 degree weather?

Yep. Part of the game. BTW, 25 degrees is great weather to play a game. Sitting in the stands and watching, not so much.

lol.. sorry to interrupt your crusade for your conference, SAD!, but what's going on right now isn't what is happening on the field itself. It's brands.. just be happy that you were part of the SEC from the beginning of time or so.. if this was about picking schools at a pickup game, you would be in charge of grabbing the real schools/programs slushies from across the street at 7-11

Auburn fans froze their asses off in Lincoln/September in 50 degrees with drizzle. Poor buggers thought it was winter and I told them to come back in February.

Since the 80s Auburn has been more relevant than Texas.

Deal with it.

How dare you tell someone who doesn't live in your area that they don't know as much as you do about the weather in your area. lol
Ha, he claimed to be from the area. I highly doubt it.

When did Auburn play in Lincoln?

When did Auburn play in Lincoln?
I remember Turner Gill came into the game and took over at QB that day and he won the starting QB job that day.

Does it suck riding the coattails of your rival to try and pump up your conference?

I will help you out. College Football right now is Bama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson...............then everyone else. Could a team buy a QB and win a title? Sure. Auburn did. Could a backup fall into a school's lap and he turn out to be amazing? Sure. LSU had it happen. Could you have a team play in a weaker conference and go to the CFP a bunch? Sure. Oklahoma went 3 or 4 times.

In the end though -- It is Georgia, Bama, OSU and Clemson (Clemson may not be there for long if they don't adjust to the current landscape of CFP with the transfer portal and NIL though)..............................a big drop off and everyone else. You have fan bases who are delusional and think they are right there. Hell, Michigan has fans who think they are right there. The talent gap is so big it is laughable and with the CFP -- it isn't win one game and you are the champ -- you have to win 2. Bama has won it 3 times. Clemson has won it 2 times. Ohio State has won it 1 time. Georgia has won it 1 time. The outlier is Joe Burrow and LSU.

So if it makes you feel better to go back 12 years to feel relevant in the SEC conversation, feel free. But I guarantee you -- no one is saying, man, I hope we don't have to play Auburn this year and when people talk about the SEC as the best conference, no one is using Auburn as an example of why.

I like you as a poster but this is a ludicrous post.

LSU has a more recent title than Ohio State or Clemson. Has more titles since 2000 than both programs, and has been one of the most winningest programs since 2000. You cannot say Clemson and Ohio State and NOT list LSU as one of the powers.

This just reeks of desperation to justify a claim of SEC being a 1-team team which is a BAD argument.

Hell even Florida, who you are trolling, went 11-2, beat Georgia, and beat Georgia again in standings by winning SEC East in just 2019. They also have as many National Titles as Clemson and Ohio State this millenia so maybe they should be in the list as well.

Call me an SEC nut swinger but I just want to call out facts. The SEC is just Alabama argument is lame and you know it.
