USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

Buncha slow fatasses vs hippy pussies.

While football is king, does make me wonder how it would effect others like baseball and basketball. Having to travel across country for a weekend series or one game every other week would be a bitch.

If this happens, and honestly there is too much noise for it not to be, the PAC ratings just went into the toilet.

Oregon is so screwed because no way the B1G takes them with their academics.

The B1G is kicking themselves for taking Maryland and Rutgers now because they could have added Washington and Stanford instead.
We took Nebraska, so it is possible.

Hopefully this means no more bullshit Pac12 at night. Want to talk about not getting viewers? Making games start at 11pm for half the country is a good place to start.

I suspect that will more than be compensated by the additional TV revenue.

I love the PAC at night games.

Interesting that it's not Oregon with one of the SoCal schools. Also USC going to play 9am game in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and New Jersey weather? Glorious

I understand financially it would most likely be set, overall. I'm saying for Rutgers to have to travel on a Thursday 3 time zones away for a late night game (their time) and turn back around and play back home on Sat/Sun. Im sure they'd do their best to minimize that stuff, but would still happen.

This isn't stopping

I'll explain why it will.

- There are no obvious expansion candidates left. The PAC is renegotiating their TV rights, so no GOR to deal with.
- Miami, FSU, and Clemson to the SEC, and UNC, Duke, UVa to the B1G makes sense, but the GOR says no until 2036.
- If you say they will buy out of the GOR, hello ... UT and OU would like a word.
- If anything makes sense it would be KS, ORE and Wash to the B1G with one more to give you a 6 team West divisions/pod whatever you want to call it. But if they were going to do that, they'd be doing it now.
- Notre Dame is a wild card, although they may have the ACC GOR to deal with.
- Basically, the ACC GOR and geography are going to stop this for a decade.

As for The Alliance ... LOL, LOL, LO fucking L.

still doesn't sound as bad as being in the SEC SEC SEC

lol.. bro it's fucking Iowa..

c'mon, you follow this more thoroughly.. it's not stopping with 16 or 18.. this thing is headed towards 24
Not any time soon ... see my post above.

The ACC has a shot to get their shit together before 2036 but they are going to need to figure out some additional revenue streams or the arms race will past them by.

Miami
FSU
Clemson
VT

All have the opportunity to be great programs they are just going to need to step up fast and Clemson has to maintain. There can still be a P3 but it’s going to take some new leadership and commitment from the schools.

The massive danger to the ACC is if the B1G and SEC decide to control post season basketball (which people will go nuts when I say that) and they will have the power/money to do it. They can simply form their own tournament played between the two. It would kill March Madness and split the country into two camps but they could do it. Probably would be worth at least 250 million to each conference.

boomer jealous..

Oklahoma is like, what a minute, the B1G was an option? Can we retract from having to get smacked around by Georgia and Alabama, head over to the B1G instead?

This is my big quarstion: would this be for football only, or just revenue sports?

Nebraska worse
Iowa and Michigan State arent exactly far from a similar ranking
