USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

So, question.

With all of this crazy re-alignment going on, why can't conferences just boot teams that don't hold their weight?

I mean, I get Rutgers draws rich alumni from the whole country to their home games, but ... they don't quite need them now that they have UCLA and USC.
Thats coming iyam. Some of the talking head "experts" seem to think so too but as for when... :noidea: who knows

B1G will have 5 of 9 largest tv markets.

Serious question ... LA is a big TV market, but is it for college football? Because I am thinking it's not.
Firstly, yes. Secondly, does it really matter? It's gonna bring money, to the level of the Pac 12 can't survive losing it.

Plenty of B1G Alums living in SoCal. Here’s why this was a genius move by Warren (something I never thought I would type) he grabbed the PAC’s biggest market, + he grabbed two big name Southern PAC teams which limits the SEC from doing so and he can move North & East from there.

The nearest Big Ten school to LA is Nebraska; Los Angeles sits 1,498 miles from Lincoln, Nebraska. Yeah this is gonna be just great for players, coaches, athletic department personnel, bands, etc. traveling for hours and hours across three time zones.

I'm not sure the sec would have ever considered asking Southern Cal to join?
