Yeah, the wife has all kinds of stuff she wants to see/do. I just want to visit Pearl Harbor and then drink mojitos on the beach the rest of the time.

Yeah. Pearl is pretty much the only thing on my must do list. The rest is gravy. Of course we’ll mainly be in the overly touristy Waikiki but we’re going for 10 days so plenty of opportunities to get out and about.

My oldest had just started a new job and couldn’t take off in March (which would have coincided with my second oldest’s spring break). We paid for it as a Christmas gift. Getting away from presents and gifting more experiences

Make sure if you see Dog the Bounty Hunter to get some cell phone footage of him or we're gonna be pissed.

I have just started browsing, but so far, I've seen em in the Maldives...Bora Bora..Tahiti, etc.

Pearl Harbor is great! It’s come a long way as a museum since the first time I went. Previously, it basically was a smallish room with some photos and artifacts that you looked at before you saw a 20 minute movie about that day and then the boat ride to the AZ memorial.

Now, you take this self guided tour with headphones that talk about each “station” they have set up with tons of artifacts and photos. The tour is great and it’s easy to “skip” stuff that don’t interest you. The movie is still the same and is the highlight of the experience IMO. The AZ memorial had been closed for repairs but is now open again.

Yeah, I’m looking forward to it. And I’ve got a couple of friends that live there and they say because we’re both retired Navy, we’ll have access to Ford Island, supposedly a part or place not open to the general public. We’ll see
