Also have no clue why you are using Indiana as a comp. Tennessee faced Georgia and Bama this year. Their RB Sampson ran for 100+ and over 5.0 YPC in both games. Tennessee ran for 150 on Georgia and over 200 on Bama. Tennessee also has a real good OL, which is loaded with upper class men and anchored by an all-American in Mays.

Indiana played Ohio and Michigan. Indiana ran for like 50 yards on 25 carries against Michigan. I don't know what they ran for against Ohio, but it probably wasn't much more. So again, confused how Indiana is comparable to Tennessee.

I use accuweather and it's showing the high in the low-40s, with an overnight low of 22, but that wouldn't be until after the game is over. It's the weather in the midwest, who the hell knows. It'll end up being mid-60s by the time it gets here.

UGA ranks 36th in the nation in yards per game allowed, and Bama is 52nd. OSU is 7th. Indiana ran for 141 on 32 carries against us, but the majority of that happened when we already had the game in hand and backups were in. PSU averages over 200 ypg rushing and we held them completely in check (their leading rusher that day was their TE who got a 33 yard rush on a trick play lol). There's no question OSU will be the toughest defense they've faced this season, and by a pretty wide margin.

So Ohio should hold Tennessee to under 200 yards of offense and what......10 points? Seeing as they are top defense Tennessee will have seen by a pretty wide margin.

The irony of talking about weather is Tennessee should benefit from bad weather. OSU is much more reliant on passing, than Tennessee. Tennessee is very good along the lines of scrimmage. They have a great run game. Low scoring game favors Tenn. I am sure Tenn fans would love a windy game to make passing tough

OU and OSU defenses are very comparable, especially vs the run. DFEI has OSU at 3 and OU at 6. OSU gave up 2.85 per rush vs 2.91 for OU. Let’s be honest a lot more was asked of that OU defense, because they had no offense. Tenn ran for 150+ on that OU defense. The key for OSU is to get up early and not allow Tenn to be patient with the run game and wear them down

That is why I looked at the weather. The LAST thing Ohio is built for is a bad weather scenario. Their advantages are on the outside with their WR's.

It is why I said -- Ohio would have been better off with a road game. Though i have no clue what the weather is like in Tennessee.

Provided our gameplan offensively is basically anything but the michigan game, we're obviously going to be much better than Oklahoma on that side of the ball. TN very possibly will run for that much, but we limited other very run-based offenses already this year (Iowa, PSU, Indiana). We just need to not step on our own dick in this kind of matchup and run the offense the way it should be while keeping up the pressure on defense.

I think it will be a better game than you think it will be. Especially if Tennessee is able to get pressure on Howard. I think Tennessee has the best defense you will have faced this year.

Tennessee's offense reminds me of Michigan's offense the last few years. They are balanced and average 200 on the ground and 200 passing. Their play calls will be dictated by what the defense is doing.

This is the one game I'm excited to watch in the first round.

Even though we knew our patchwork OL wasn't going to be strong enough to run up the gut, we still did it 19 times, and for 18 total yards. We ran to the outside twice and gained like 35. Kelly and Day have both come out and said the playcalling was shit.

If any Ohio fan is objective, it is definitely you.

You threw the ball 33 times -- something was shit in that game, outside of your offensive line getting manhandled in the run the game. It was your QB. His longest completion was on a screen to the RB for 24 yards. He completed 55% of his passes and had 2 interceptions against backups all over the secondary.

Good thing he was mobile though -- his game long carry of 4 yards was a game changer.
