Which is the only way a 2 loss SECC would get in ... if the competition was TCU/Baylor or a 1-loss USC/Oregon. Lack of respect. Which is why I can't wait for 12 teams ... then we will see the lack of respect due to results on the field H2H.

I think 2 loss LSU probably gets in over TCU or Oklahoma State.

USC I think would be picked over LSU

Oregon kind of a tossup. Would definitely probably be LSU if they beat UGA in the SEC title game.

I can see that. The real interesting thing is does a 1 loss UGA/UTjr who loses to a 2 loss LSU team in the SECCG get in over LSU because of the losses? I have a really hard time seeing that.

That's where the mess comes in.

Assume 2 undefeated (B1G Champ & Clemson)

Then you have 1 Loss TCU/Okie State & 1 Loss Oregon/USC

Then you have a 2 loss SEC champ in LSU with 1 loss UGA and Tennessee.

That's 5 teams gunning for the final 2 spots.

And a pretty good chance that they fill it with 2 SEC teams, this would cause a gigantic shit storm.

A even funnier scenario for the committee would be if we end up with 3 undefeated teams B1G Champ, Clemson and TCU

Then you only have 1 spot for 2 loss SEC champ LSU, 1 loss UGA, 1 Loss Tennessee or 1 loss USC/Oregon. Good luck.

Dare they try to actually push TCU out? It wouldnt shock me. They could hammer constantly on how bad TCUs defense is (even though Tennessee's is pretty bad too) and how they dont pass the complete eye test.

Total clusterfuck, I love it. That said, this normally takes car of itself. Clemson losing a game it shouldn't lose. UM beating tOSU, but losing another one - let's have some fun and say Illinois. Then LSU doing what I said they might do. USC and Oregon dropping games and Utah is sitting there with 1 loss. And, to make it even more fun, everyone in the B12 with 2 losses. LOL, what a mess.

I would say UCLA and USC are higher up the totem poll in the Pac12 than Utah.

Now -- yes. Utah is the defending Pac champ that was returning so many starters and their QB, etc. They were a top 10 team preseason and lost to Florida in OOC.

Take the Florida loss out and Utah is ranked higher than USC, as they just beat USC.

Those are not equivalent situations. The tOSU situation was comparing teams with the same record.

At some point you have to recognize that when everyone is telling you you're dead wrong that it's time to look in the mirror and recognize that you were off base

Everyone is writing of USC right now. USC and UCLA are still very much in the running. They will need TCU to lose to have a shot (and perhaps Clemson as well) but they are in the mix.

If USC wins out they are in IMO.

UCLA seems to be their only real obstacle before the Pac 12 title game. their other 4 games are against Arizona, Cal, Colorado & Notre Dame

Michigans OOC schedule was trash that would be used against them. The rest of the B1G outside of Ohio State and Michigan hasnt been strong enough either for either team to get that benefit of doubt.

Florida stinks but they have enough talent to beat a team like Utah at home. I think Utah probably wins if that game is @ Utah or a neutral site.

Utah is kind of like a Wisconsin when Wisconsin was good. They are a good team who can win 9/10 games, but they are very liable to lose to not so good but still talented teams like Florida and more times than not they aren't beating the elite level teams.

Oregon & USC both have bad defenses. USC is 73rd and Oregon is 78th in Yards Allowed Per Game.

I think they both have capable offenses, but Oregon has already shown that they can be shut down by a more talented team.

I don't think either would beat UGA or Ohio State at the moment. They probably lose to both by multiple scores

Tennessee, maybe, because their defense stinks too.

Clemson would probably be a tossup as well.

Ohio State won the B1G in 2014 though, they werent a non champ.

When they got in without winning the B1G in 2016 with 1 loss, none of the other options had less than 2 losses.

The Big 12 missed, their champ OU, had 2 losses, one of them was to Ohio State

With the exception of Georgia last year, I think the only team that has made playoffs without winning their conference is Alabama.
