GAME VT @ 7 MIAMI | 7:30ET | ESPN

Pry better be blaming the ACC to avoid everybody pointing at him. He needs to go on a tangent tonight. Maybe talk about joining the Big 12.

Took the kids to the movies so missed this one but saw the replays. He had possession when he was down by contact but he didn’t survive the ground which to me is a stupid rule that needs to be changed. Crazy finish. Sucks for VT.

Fell asleep last night before this all went down....

but all I have to say is that refs and conferences continue to prove they don't understand the definition of the phrase "indisputable evidence". If something it taking minutes to look at, the evidence is disputable.

VT should have won based on the call on the field. The end.

Should have never come down to that one play at the end. If Pry had any head coaching knowledge, he would have taken the FG instead of that dumbass short shovel pass on the fake FG. Then, the VT clock management at the end. Pry, you suck out your ass. As far as Miami goes, the not taking a knee against GT last season. Then, last night, all those Miami defenders in the end zone should have been throwing fists at that ball, not trying to catch it.

Twitter has decided. VT was robbed. The end.

Given the amount of people lining up on both sides of this debate it seems fair to say there wasn’t indisputable evidence to overturn it. I haven’t seen an angle that would give me 100% confidence either way

And don't even mention the phantom holding call that was just a great block.

A total failure of officiating. The call on the field should have never been made. Simply state the previous play is under review. There was never evidence to suggest the player caught it in real time, and there was evidence to suggest that he did not secure the catch when going to the ground.

Friday night football! Woooo!
Those were two close and entertaining games. I went back and forth between them so I didn't see all of either one. I say that as a preface to this. I'm not sure they were real well played, but still good games.

After watching this game, who besides me doesn't think the polling difference between #6 5-0 Miami and unranked 2-3 Va Tech is accurate. Polls show such differences but on the field, head to head play doesn't.

yep.

that was not a catch, but not sure how you can overturn the original call.

I thought it was 50-50. It looked like maybe they didn’t have evidence but it also looks like he never had full control. That is call they can literally fuck whoever they want
I never saw an angle that was definitive of where the ball was as the players headed to the ground after the jump. And I don't think the official had one either. They just took a WAG and it came up catch. I don't think there is even anything definitive after viewing everything.

The original call on the field should've been incomplete, then reviewed and call stood. Never should've been called a touchdown. The final call from the replay was the correct call, but given the circumstances of original call and "needing" clear evidence to overturn a call, I don't see how they could do that. That was one where whatever the call on the field was, should've stayed the final call and replay "Stands" not "Confirmed".
