This is for real. She's not tribe, but her parents' church has offered pilgrimages every 3-5 years so she is going with a group. Its's been a process for over a year with the planning and logistics. We both have always wanted to do this but with starting a new job it wasn't practical for me this time. They have a "class" once a month learning language, culture and how to prepare for the trip. She is both excited and anxious for this.
