I'd think OSU would be pretty upset they are only 6-1 right now. They've only played one decent team all year and they lost. It took away their safety net, so lose another one and CFP hopes are gone, even if they went on to win the B1G.

It woke their ass up and got some much needed coaching philosophies adjusted. I'm fine with it

Oh it’s been a very hot and controversial subject here locally. Our local sports station is headed by a NYer who graduated from MSU and he gets very crabby anytime Sparty feels threatened. Right now I’d say the locals are in the denial stage. Some are willing to admit LSU is obviously the better job.

Sparty fans are bracing for the inevitable. While MSU isn't a bad job, it will never be on par with some of the openings out there, like LSU.

Good job this year so far, but IF he drops some games down the stretch and you take in consideration the portal moves and COVID SR's ect. (and you have to give him credit for making the right moves there) and the schedule,
Is he REALLY the slash hire that LSU's brass wants?

He may be and may do great but I have a feelin the shine may wear off pretty significantly if/when he starts dropping games.

Sparty fans are bracing for the inevitable. While MSU isn't a bad job, it will never be on par with some of the openings out there, like LSU.

I think that’s part of their perpetual frustration and constantly comparing themselves to MI. They still talk about Saban. They’re a springboard school. Not a destination program like MI, or LSU. And it really bugs them. Maybe a guy like PJ Fleck lands there when and if Tucker leaves. I could see a guy like him having an extended stay in East Lansing. Even with great success I don’t think a top 5-10 program snags him away.
