Who cares about the conference championship? Ohio state and Oregon, for instance, have functionally locked up a playoff birth. These games mean nothing except which spot they land. Indiana is 10-0, yet this game isn't a discussion about who gets a playoff spot. It's stupid. The meaning of this Ohio State Indiana game would have meant so much more if there was just a 4 team. Indiana wins, they're in. Ohio State wins, they're probably in but need the B10 title game to clinch. All of it it stupid and pointless now.

Yeah, what we've done is make high profile games that should mean something, mean nothing, and fringe games that used to mean nothing, mean that they're the first to get into a playoff where they lose anyway. yay!
