TV Series WandaVision

I am still waiting for the Adam Warlock storyline to come about. I think that was the post credit scene in the first Guardians movie?

2nd. It's too bad that trolls tried to cancel Gunn as otherwise they would have been on the slate this year. Now its going to be phase 5. Awesome to see in 2024, but we have a few obscure characters to chew through before we get there now.

there's really a lot going on...which is just how the Marvel Universe is in the comics...it gets a little overwhelming

That was such a fucking tease. It's about the same as having a potential fan favorite rediscover his roots only to fly away and have absolutely no impact on the ending.

That being said I enjoyed it and both post credit scenes were great for setting up movies that we won't see for a while. I'm looking forward to Black Widow and Eternals but after that waiting a year for MOM (ooohhh Ralph's tattoo was an Easter egg) well that kind of sucks. Good things and whatnot I guess

A year isn't that long of a wait for Dr Strange 2 MoM and Captain Marvel 2. We've had longer waits for payoffs. Plus, I think the Loki series is suppose to have a tie-in to MoM as well.

you seem like the kind of guy who wants to do more with Boners.
Calm down. That wasn’t an invitation.

I enjoyed the finale... :thumb:

Thankfully we get to see the Guardians in the next Thor movie.

also this would have been cool...

A lot more things were actually left on the cutting room floor, like Monica’s larger involvement in the end; she was supposed to steal the Darkhold along with the kids and Darcy, but was going to be stopped by Agnes’ pet rabbit who turns out to be a demon. The WandaVision showrunners also didn’t expect people to speculate that a teased engineer character would be someone huge like Reed Richards.

I finally finished this series and it’s the low point of the Marvel content the last 10 years including the Netflix shows. The direction was bizarre and a waste for two incredible characters that have iconic storylines in their history.

Just started this and it’s the dumbest fucking tv show I’ve ever seen. Not funny, not interesting… why did they make this shit

They take 2.5 episodes to set it up. Get through the first 2 eps and it begins to pick up mid way through ep 3.

As a whole, not Marvel’s finest moment, but not terribly awful.

Because people like @ill will fall for this BS claim it’s artistic expression and defend everything Marvel puts out. The Eternals are getting tanked by the critics and the only response Marvel has is that take diversity and inclusion very seriously. Basically trying to say if you don’t like it then you’re racist.

At some point they will learn their shit can stink and story plus quality matter.

It's actually pretty good. There's some depth there (for Marvel at least) about trauma and depression. It also does better jobs of fleshing out the characters of Wanda and Vision a bit more. But it is a tad slow at the start, especially if you're not a fan of historical TV. The first couple of episodes strengths lie in accurate depictions of various TV settings and tropes from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. There's quite a bit of detail and craftsmanship and its fun if you're into that type of stuff, but for people that aren't, it's probably a little slow.

Meh.

I'm not a big TV person...at all. But I enjoy the Marvel movies, so I wanted to give it a spin. I'm also not a dork who is all about the comic books, but was willing to give an actual "storyline" with some of the characters a shot.

I get that the first 1.5 episodes were a spin on retro TV and thats something I could give absolutely zero fucks about. I was hoping the humor would be more on par with Tony Stark or GotG adult stuff, but it was all stay-at-home mom humor instead. Got to the part in the second episode where she finds the helicopter in color and thought "oh this is going to take an interesting turn, maybe..." then the neighbor jumps in with more stay-at-home mom zaniness!

you mean people who can actually handle something more than a smashmouth action show?

yea, I guess you're right.

but critics liked the show, for the most part. As a fan of fantasy and science fiction and that sort of thing, I think the show was a lot of fun
