Morning, turds. Three more work days until vacation. Nothing fun on the horizon until then.
 
morning all

5 day weekend after today, gopher game tomorrow, state fair friday.

Had a health screening today, glucose level much higher than normal, so need to start watching that. Getting old sucks

it'll have to wait until after weekend though, not going to watch beer intake tomrrow nor my food intake at the fair

next week will be all bland food off setting gluttony

Just got put on the surgery schedule for a nasal procedure for the 7th. It's not going to be good. After suffering with terrible allergies for most of my life, I have developed some issues that require my snout to be rotors rostered, and they are going to fix a deviated septum from who knows when, while in there. Truly terrified.

college kids are back on campus, cut through dorms on my lunch and not one person invited me to a party, join their student group, or join in their game of basketball

My buddy said he was out in Chicago and was walking through a park or something that was part of Loyola U's campus (sweet #stealthbrag on his part), and a student orientation leader was super nice to him and his lady friend. They realized after that this kid thought there were there to drop a kid off at campus (they are kid-free).


Fuuuuuuuuuuuu....

Also, I never got invited to any of the parties the undergrad kids were throwing when I had classes with them as a graduate student.
 
got back from RI Monday. Good time in Newport and Block Island.

took yesterday to get my life together and get stuff done around the house. Luckily most of my plants and garden survived us being away...just in time for this new heatwave to kick us in the nuts.
