Don't think I've ever taken a Greyhound, but we did take Megabus to Chicago one time in law school. It was like $25 roundtrip. Got standing room only seats for a Cubs afternoon game, got a cheap hotel room, and rode home the next day. It was me, Mr. Kobe, and a friend. I bet each of us spent less than $100 that trip.I took the bus once. D00d who was supposed to give me a ride back to school after winter break one year told me like a day or two before we were supposed to leave that he wasn't driving and was going to fly instead, so I was scrambling for options. 12+hours on a Greyhound. Woof.
Still, I got to meet a pregnant woman, somewhere around my age, who was going to be the best mother ever. We got to discuss this while she chain-smoked something close to a pack of cigarettes at almost every city we stopped in.
So we've got Elves to go with our Hobbit?depends, not all tree houses are equal

Attached. But our new shop/garage is slated to begin construction in the next few weeks. Then we tear down the shitty shed in the back.Detached garage, like the poors?
Looks pretty similar to ours.depends, not all tree houses are equal

not any more.Think it's squeaky?
I think the train trip is actually longer, because it goes down the 95 corridor before kicking across NC from Raleigh to Greensboro, and there's also a delay in DC to switch the engine on the train from electric to diesel, but I liked taking the train better than the bus. Only took each of those once, though. I usually could bum a ride somewhere close to NJ. My parents were happy to drive an hour or two instead of 8 to pick me up.Don't think I've ever taken a Greyhound, but we did take Megabus to Chicago one time in law school. It was like $25 roundtrip. The best part is that the hotel was hosting some sort of deaf singles night in the hotel bar. We went down to grab a beer and the music was so loud it rattled our bones. That's an experience I'll never forget.
Yes, but I always paid cash. My HS buddy had a GF back home, so he traveled home far more often than I did, so wasn't a big deal to get a ride. I think I gave $10 each time, never asked to borrow his car.So you were one of those car moochers, huh? My freshman roommate (half the year....I requested single room at semester break) didn't have a car and I ended up giving her rides everywhere. It was fine when I was going the same direction, but the final straw was when she asked if she could drive my car back to Sioux Falls for the weekend to visit. It was apparently lost on her that I needed it to drive to work everyday.
Such a smooth operator.Yes, but I always paid cash. My HS buddy had a GF back home, so he traveled home far more often than I did, so wasn't a big deal to get a ride. I think I gave $10 each time, never asked to borrow his car.
my 2nd freshman roommate had a plymouth wagon for running around duluth, I gave him beer money here and there, but I only tagged along if he was already going somewhere
I know one time my HS buddy previously mentioned drove a stranger from billboard in dorms home, it was fine, but he decided it wasn't worth the $10
I made him pick up the girl I had a crush on once who shortly after was my GF on our way back to Campus. Her HS BF dropped her off where we met up to pick her up, little did he know she was going to dump him soon and end up with me
Says the hobbit with poverty toilets.
