i sometimes drop things the closer i get to the end. haven't played it in probably over a month or so now. looks like i'm on chapter 13. so, a bit more than half. i was hoping it'd be closer to old school where you can be doing multiple things and not pay much attention (i.e. battles were just sets of commands to give)

It's a little more involved on the boss battles I remember. It was at least a pretty good effort they hadn't made a good non remaster FF since 12. What was that like 06? Lol

i mean, i'm going to see my brother who moved out there last year, but as far as things to do, no clue. i guess hiking, kayaking, and that type of bullshit.

should be fun.

it's not bad and i dig you can still get a bit of a break by going to the command menu, even though the enemies are still slightly moving towards you. reminds me of using the V.A.T.S. in Fallout (see that's on sale in the PS Store, not sure if it's worth buying, pretty cheap though, not sure how the online only thing works). i don't mind the style, but i liked a slower game pace at times. helps with the drinking, guess that's why i always liked tiger woods and playing baseball games.

i think he went there for the same reason Carson likes the culture in Indiana (a place my brother previously talked about moving to along with a bunch of other shitholes).

@stakesarehigh gotta admit, more than 2/3 through the game and i still don't know what some materia does (or at least how to level it up, which makes me think i'm not using it right).
