I mean, I see what the kicker saw and the play was likely set up for if they leave a hole like they did. Not a terrible play by NU but a really heads play by the Northwestern player. Early in the season you take chances like that, this one didn't work out.

Agree with that, the timing of the play call was terrible. But the players were lined up perfectly, just executed poorly and wasn't necessary.

This stinks of someone in the booth trying to justify their job by telling Frost that "Northwestern is begging us to onside kick them" based on earlier game kickoff lineups. NU would be better off just lining up and playing north-south football and not trying to trick it up.

Yeah. Both them and NMSU up I-10 40 miles were lightening/thunderstorm delayed. Desert has been getting an unusual amount of rain this year while other places are in drought.

These Husker men's scholly players have been putting in the bare minimums for years.

There's no way they're putting in a minute of personal time to eating properly at the training table, weight lifting, or in the film room.

Coaches are limited in how much time they can spend with the players, but there are no limits on the players using personal time to get better.
I remember someone once saying "If you couldn't find Peyton Manning outside of a team function, go look in the film room. That's where he'll be"
