Week 0 LOLs

And he's starting two different QB's the first two weeks of the season.
When they know they can run for 250-300 on Ohio State -- they can experiment with the QB's.

I feel bad for OSU's offense. OSU has a national championship level offense and a defense that Charmin should sign to a NIL deal. Not a single player to a NIL deal, but Charmin should sign the entire defense with as soft as they are.

...and the Wolverine boards are all about how the QB competition is nothing but a good thing...lol.
The ONLY reason UM is doing this is they don't want McCarthy to leave in the portal. The safer choice is McNamara -- he will make all the right plays and not lose a game for you.

McCarthy is bigger, faster and way more athletic. He has a cannon for an arm, but that arm strength will have him make throws that he probably shouldn't.

I would start McCarthy and give him the game experience. McNamara's ceiling is being a good QB, which he is. He will never be a great QB. McCarthy has the ability to be a great QB -- a great QB can lift the level of a team who isn't as talented as many of the top teams to be able to compete with them.

Hey keep talking trash. I like it.

Last year was one of Ohio State's youngest teams in recent memory. And their D was one of the worst I've ever seen. And yet they still went 11-2 and brought a Rose Bowl trophy back to Columbus.

Looking forward to the rematch. I don't think the D will be as bad as last season.

You mentioned NIL deals. Don't care about them so don't pay attention. But since you mentioned it found this article.

Ohio State athletes score biggest in NIL deals (7/17/22)

The deal was offered to qb CJ Stroud, cb Denzel Burke, rb TreVeyon Henderson and wr Jackson Smith-Njigba

The defense is the only thing that will stop OSU from a national championship. They have no one on their defense teams have to game plan for. They don't have the Chase Young, Nick Boss, Joey Bosa, etc. They don't have the lockdown secondary with guys like Latinate, Okudah, Ward, etc.

They got pushed around by any team who had any talent on the OL. That isn't changing in one year. You can't coach a player to be physical -- they either are or they aren't.

It is the ONLY reason I think UM won't get absolutely torched by OSU, because we have the same OL back minus our center and replaced the center with a guy who was all-American last year.

Offensively -- no one can touch OSU. They have the best skill position talent in all of CFB. They have all-Americans at QB, RB and WR. But that defense is going to give them headaches.

Will be interesting to see how the DL looks against ND, who also has a good OL.

Fox needs an LOL...between this and this:

Where do you think I coined the phrase "Xbox, Little Caesar's Hot & Ready's, and Suzy Rottoncrotch"?

These Husker men's scholly players have been putting in the bare minimums for years.

There's no way they're putting in a minute of personal time to eating properly at the training table, weight lifting, or in the film room.

Coaches are limited in how much time they can spend with the players, but there are no limits on the players using personal time to get better.
I remember someone once saying "If you couldn't find Peyton Manning outside of a team function, go look in the film room. That's where he'll be"
Wisconsin's punter spends more time in the weight room than Nebraska linemen

Blame it on Frost all you want but those Nebraska players got manhandled. Seriously, it looks like they hadn't seen a weight room either.
Well you know, they are only 5 years past having Riley for a HC

Lol at Wyomings entire team transferring then losing by 30+ to the 4th best team in Illinois

I still don't understand that call. They had the lead. They were up by two scores with the entire 2nd half of the game, minus 5 minutes, yet to play!

That's something you do in desperation! The whole thing shows why he's had no success as HC. He's a knucklehead!

I'm ok with that call, in particular. I mean, if they execute it properly and recover the ball it goes from stupid to gutsy.

No one game planned for the Bosa's or Chase young their freshman years. Their breakout year was their sophomore. Both Bosa's did get more playing time their freshman years bc the DL was as heavily laden with upperclassmen but they still weren't game changers.

Expect JT Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer to make a much bigger impact this season

LOL @ Ohio State fans that are in denial about the fact that Jim Harbaugh OWNS Ryan Day.

LOL @ Nebraska getting kicked off tv in the Falcons media market for a pre season Falcons game

The D in Columbus has been a downright lousy the last couple of years. If I remember correctly last season they were 59th in the nation. The new DC had success at Okie State. Hope that success continues this season.

With that very questionable D I hesitate greatly to say they really are the 2nd best team in the country. But then again the top 25 polls mean nothing to me during the regular season. I pay attention to ranking after the CCG's.

As far as UofM. Obviously I don't follow them closely at all. So not sure who they have returning from last season. My main question about the team to start the season is why is JH starting two different QB's the first two weeks of the season?

That just doesn't sound good. When I lived in the Vegas area I still remember something a USC fan once told me. When a team plays two QB's they really have no QB's.

It's just not very often dual QB's work well for an entire season.
