Or some kind of bi partisan scheduling committee yes.

W. ILLINOIS
Charlotte
And FIU

Sweet OOC guys

Not that OSUs was any better.

Ive said for a while that the NCAA should take over OOC schedules. I know OSU had Washington and then lost that but this was the worst OOC schedule from them in a long time as well.

I think the Big ten and SEC are working on a schedule arrangement to help that issue. Obviously they'll want some money from their media partners and they want to see how the CFP committee handles SOS first.

1 - Georgia (Sugar)
2 - Ohio State (Rose)
3 - Miami (Peach)
4 - BYU (Fiesta)
5 - Oregon
6 - Texas
7 - Penn State
8 - Tennessee
9 - Notre Dame
10 - Alabama
11 - Indiana
12 - Boise State

Boise State @ Oregon
Indiana @ Texas
Alabama @ Penn State
Notre Dame @ Tennessee

It's really crazy how all these at-large teams will have little to no ranked wins.

Oregon will likely have 2. Which is honestly pretty good all things considered. Will Penn State even have 1? If Texas loses to A&M will they even have 1? Maybe Vandy? Tennessee might only have 1. Maybe a 2nd with Vandy? ND might only have 1 depending on A&M and Army. Bama will have likely 2 in this scenario. And IU will likely have 0.

I think the loser of the B1GCG will automatically get the #5 seed. Oregon and OSU will have great wins.

Also, now there's a good chance Colorado could get the auto B12 spot so Boise might not automatically get slotted into the #12 spot.

If we had some form of BIG Ten/SEC battle like we have with BIG and ACC for hoops it would be amazing.

I thought the b1g forced teams to schedule a p5. Did that disappear?

Colorado will get housed when they face a team with a front 7.

Nice athletes, nothing up front.

Oregon not only has 2 ranked wins, they have 2 wins over playoff teams

We already had Texas/Michigan, Alabama/Wisconsin, and LSU/USC. All of those game were monster rating games. Now just add some games like UGA/Ohio State, Ole Miss/Indiana, Oregon/Texas A&M, Penn State/Tennessee, Iowa/Oklahoma etc. All those games are making the media companies more money and are better for the fans. Fans just have to get used to the fact their teams may lose more games with these kinds of schedules and that's ok with the expanded playoff.

More egregious than the ooc schedules, all conferences with 10 teams or more should play 9 conference games
I would like to see conferences go back to divisions. That leaves you with divisional strength issue, but at least the SOS inside the divisions is relatively equal. This format is just completely random

Yep.

Teams like Georgia and OSU can probably lose 2 games many years and still make the playoffs.

Its an adjustment period with the mega conferences right now.

Perfect time for schools like BYU, SMU, and Boise to take advantage though.

Nah take the best 2 teams for the ccg has been one of the better improvements

The idea is great in theory, but they have made it much harder to figure out who is the best 2 teams

Man the SEC is a dumpster fire to see who goes to their CCG lol.

Tennessee vs Georgia
Texas and Tamu
LSU vs Bama

Then you have Ole Miss vs Georgia that could tip things over also.

Take the teams with the 2 best conference records. The tiebreaker eliminates the team with the weaker schedule.

If Indiana beats osu, they deserve to go to the ccg. If they lose, then they don't.
