I stated from DAY ONE of the Littrell/Finley era that they would move toward way more playaction and zone read concepts but RUNNING THE BALL WITH MORE FREQUENCY. Two-TE sets, H-backs, Pistol/Diamond formations etc.Yeah. Oklahoma might want to start bringing their offense to the games. When they bring their offense they seem to win. Why the hell would you not bring your offense to games for 10 weeks is beyond me. That alone should get BV fired.
Shouldn't a coach be required to take offense, defense and special teams to every game? It has to be in their contract somewhere.
Yeah, one would think when the injury bug hits WRs, OBs or both, the DC would change course in trying to mitigate that limitation instead of the opposite.I stated from DAY ONE of the Littrell/Finley era that they would move toward way more playaction and zone read concepts but RUNNING THE BALL WITH MORE FREQUENCY. Looks like Bedenbaugh and Finley FINALLY figured some things out...methinks Littrell couldn't figure shit out or was committed into flinging the goddamn ball all over the place WITHOUT EVERY STARTING WR AND NO COHESIVE OL TO PROTECT THE BALL FLINGER.
BV had stated that he let the Offensive side of the ball be its own autonomous thing, until he had to get involved.
This new guy apparently is the next LR....ugh.
This same argument could be applied to the expanded playoff as well. Upsets, especially those in the post season is "the juice that CFB is made of".Of course they don’t start the season like that. But being able to eliminate a team from the post season, or even a major bowl, is the juice that CFB is made of. That’s why yesterday was so great, because 5-5 teams were knocking off top 15 teams left and right. The worst part is, I’m not even sure a 3 loss Alabama team is eliminated from the playoff, which is a sad state of affairs if you ask me.
Nah. Because for the best teams losses really don’t hurt them except a first round bye. I remain convinced no team any give year outside the top 6 will ever win a national title. This same argument could be applied to the expanded playoff as well. Um... last I heard its single elimination. Losses hurt everyone no matter who it is.Nah. Because for the best teams losses really don’t hurt them except a first round bye.
That may be, but so what. Let them wreak havoc. Imagine OU and Boise St made the playoff in 06 and Boise St pulls off the upset as they did in 06, CFB fans not named OU loved that. No one cares or expects it to happen the majority of the time, I think it'd actually be an easy argument for it to be less meaningful and impactful if it happened regularly. But every once in a while, it'll be incredible even if they get smoked in the second round. I also don't believe in byes and would have preferred an 8 team or a 16 team playoff, but oh well.I remain convinced no team any give year outside the top 6 will ever win a national title.
