NFL WEEKLY GAME THREAD Week 2

Something about him seems really off. He keeps trying to draw late hit penalties by stopping before going out of bounds which is very strange strategy.

I’m not sure he sees the field well,,explaining why he ran around so much trying to make super plays at USC. He’s finding out that doesn’t work as well in the NFL.

In his defense he has no competent run game. Until he does it will be tough to fully judge him.
Dude, it's the interior line play, particularly the Center, Coleman Shelton. I have never seen worse play. In two games I have seen that dude ragdolled more times than I have anyone in a whole season. He is either getting tossed on his ass or battling air. Epically bad play from him and RG, Nate Davis.

This was my criticism of him going into the draft. He wasn't fully Manziel in college but he played a ton of hero ball. That never works in the NFL, and he's going to have to fix that in a hurry before this season gets completely away from him.

That game came down to the Bears being unable to counter the blitz. In that situation, Williams has to be able to step up and fire to receiver on a hot route and I don't think I saw that all night.

I don't think you are wrong about the interior line play but in a blitz situation, the 2.5 seconds you have to get rid of the ball is down to 1.5 at max and holding onto the ball is something Williams is struggling with because he has never had to deal with NFL speed. He has the ability so time will see if he can adjust to the game and the coaching staff has the chops to coach him up and get him over that hump. If they can't teams are just going to load up on him every play.

Three interceptions and only one TD don't help but Houston is a very good team and Williams is super green so this season may be all about him learning and seeing if he can adjust to NFL speed and schemes. He ain't in "Kansas" anymore but compared to some other high drafts like Bryce Young he is showing promise but it will take time. I wouldn't have playoff hopes in year one.

I'll say this the combination of CJ Stroud and Demeco Ryans as head coach have literally taken the Texas from the cellar to the penthouse.

CJ might have had the best rookie season for a QB in history last year and he doesn't appear to be having any drop off in year 2. The kid is making throws that elite, seems to be total control of the offense and doesn't turn the ball over.

If the pressure is up the middle, there really isn't a pocket to step up into. And he had 2 picks last nite. One was like a short punt, and the other was late game, and him just trying to make a play while running for his life.

I would implore you all to re-watch and focus on No. 65. It is as bad as i can be.

Whoa you are doing good to get me to watch the Bears the first go around but to double up? You are just asking for way too much.

My bet with the local bar owner is all tied up at 1.

# of wins on the reg season. Payable at the end of game 17

Odunze looked totally lost on the last series. He and Williams are not in sync at all. It will get better.

Mario Edwards abused that poor man

Pisses me off Ohio State didn't win it all with him.

It's also got to be maddening as a d coordinator bc he makes you pay so often when blitzed

Dude, it's almost every fucking play, two weeks straight now. He's either getting straight ragdolled, or he is standing there battling the air. I am not being hyperbolic when I say I have never seen such poor play from the position, like EVER, from any team. He is historically shitty.

With him at QB and you had Bama/UGA type support talent so there aren't any excuses.

He hasn’t done anything since the Longhorns game last year.

Best play he had was yanking Edwards hard enough on the one play to get a roughing the passer call and negate a turnover
