Week 7 Coaches Poll

Not really. If ND goes 11-1 they'll get in no matter what A&M does.

Either way, you've successfully turned this into an ND discussion because I guess you can't justify your position on A&M, other than proclaiming SEC bias. Which yeah, there is some given where they have teams ranked, but not because of A&M.
If that's the case ND needs NIU to finish strong.

I am not sure about that. A&M may end up being the only ranked team ND played all year. They were will be legit arguments that a 10-2 team belongs over them.

I expect there to be 2 loss teams ranked ahead of ND. But how many are there going to be? After the carnage In the SEC, I can't see there being that many because they all have to play each other. Even if A&M is the only ranked win their resume will be very similar to the 2021 team that finished 5th.

Given the unbalanced schedules in the Bug and SEC, it is hard to go through the possible scenarios. That or I am just lazy enough

I'm not so sure of that. If NIU is a .500 team that should be alright. ND may only have one ranked win, but they'll have a bunch of .500+ wins, which has been a criteria in the past.

Those early rankings affect later season rankings.

The fact is SEC teams are not held accountable for losses or shitty play.

I told everybody they were going to "launch" A&M in the polls (up 10 spots), even though an unbiased set of eyeballs told us Missouri was extremely overrated at #9.
Missouri was an undefeated SEC team though. So obviously Top 10, right?

Launching A&M 10 spots is completely justified since they beat a Top 10 team, right?
Keeping Missouri in the Top 25 is completely justified because they're SEC and they'll be playing other SEC teams so it'll look better for those other SEC teams when they beat Missouri, right?
Sounds like A&M was underrated before.

Of course you do.

That wouldn't be because Notre Dame beat A&M in College Station by 10 points would it?

The Notre Dame that lost to Northern Illinois?

Naw. No bias there. LOL
And you get a hard on for the SEC, and were dead wrong about "the first 2 loss team will be SEC". There are TWO 2 loss teams ahead of your team, and both are in the B1G.

Now tell me you aren't bitching about Nebraska because it is clear that is why your panties are in a wad.

Unless IU gets to 10-2(or 11-1), the rest of the B1G outside of OSU, PSU and Oregon will all have 3 or more losses. The top teams in the SEC all play each other still, minus Texas and Bama. I'd be surprised if there were 5 teams that had 2 losses or less. A&M honestly might have the best chance.

"bUt NeBrAsKa"

Who didn't see that coming?

Northern Illinois, Buffalo and UConn, would slap A&M around worse than Notre Dame did.

I honestly don't know what to expect for the rest of the season.

I'm back to just hoping for Bama victories vs. the Vols and barn.

I mean, you are crying about A&M for some reason and you know we would beat that little Mahomes wannabe like he owes us money. So it must be butthurt about your team.

A&M did exactly what I said would happen after they beat an obviously overrated Missouri team.

They launched 10 spots in the poll.

Because...... Wait for it.....

SEC

Nice 6 point win by A&M over (2-3) Bowling Green BTW. :dhd:

So, and you also said an SEC school would be the first 2 loss team ranked.

Seem to be avoiding that one like the plague. But A&M, man you are all across multiple threads bitching.

Nice complaining about a win (with our backup QB) in this thread and claiming a "win is a win" in others.

"der Arkansas isn't very good, A&M should get no credit for beating them" seems to have shut the fuck up as well.

Where have I claimed a "win is a win"?

I've definitely claimed teams should "win like they should" against clearly overmatched (talent/economics) opponents.

Beating Bowling Green 26-20 in College Station is NOT winning like they should have.

(3-3) Okie Jr was 8 pts >> Arkansas
A&M was just 4 pts >> Arkansas

But A&M >> than Okie Jr because..... Wait for it.....

SEC

Their TE and RB's got 10 of their 16 passes, it wasn't the DB's blowing assignments most of the time. I was more concerned about our inability not to get gashed in the interior gaps. The play action is much more effective on 2nd and 3 than on 2nd and 10.

It's not all on them though, Vanderbilt clearly used their week off to call an excellent game, hats off to them.
That is a tough offense to play with a week. You don’t see a lot option anymore. The QB also affects the rush. You have to stay in your rush lanes and be disciplined. I think it was pretty obvious the Bama spent a lot of time preparing for Georgia (not that the players knew it). The difference in game plans was obvious

LOL @ Georgia higher than Bama, A&M launching to #14, and Missouri only dropping 9 spots.
I don’t mind UGA being higher at this point. It will work itself out. Bama lost to Vandy. They either drop Georgia for winning or drop Bama lower. If not for all the upsets, Bama would not be in the top 10. Awful loss

I would add Michigan. They should not be ranked. Only team with 2 losses. Barely beat USC, who is mediocre, is there one decent win.
