That’s up to the refs to blow the play dead. Can’t penalize the guy whose face mask was spun around.

The helmet stayed on though. They only blow it dead if the 'ball carrier's' helmet comes completely off.

If it's not the ball carrier then play continues. However, the player that lost their helmet must stop participating in the play or it's a penalty on the player without the helmet.
