no plans this afternoon...just going to do some routine BS after work and be happy.

family visit over the weekend and got a lot in and great weather for it.
 
Friday had wisdom teeth out & listened to the football game. They won by a decent margin over a decent team. Saturday morning had our first tackle football scrimmage. Find out right before the game the other team has a kid they aren't sure how old he is. Was adopted from the Congo and has no birth certificate. Pretty obvious he was older and more mature. He was every bit my height or more. Nobody could tackle him. However when he wasn't playing, they couldn't get a positive yard. They also struggled stopping us if he wasn't in. He made every tackle when he played defense.

Friday - dinner with buddies
Saturday - NH to celebrate my dad's 76th
Sunday - BJs run (I was bored and went with a buddy) then laid on my couch and did nothing
 
How about the Little League World Series Championship Game!

Add in the fact we barely got a full week of practice as that league told us a later start date & never thought to tell us they changed their minds. However we weren't allowed to be in full pads due to the heat. Bad combination for kids new to the sport, no tackling experience in pads, and then a kid 2 years to 3 years older than ours just being a beast.
 
Have Friday off and Monday of course. I have agreed to drive my father and his friend to see his brother this weekend who lives about 5 hours away. Dad is 82 and his brother just turned 80 last month. Have a feeling this might be the last time with them together. My uncle is one of my favorite people in the world and next to my dad a person that I always looked up to as a kid so this is kind of bittersweet.

Spent all day yesterday trying to get comfortable. I'm pretty sure I have a kidney stone. Last time I had one I had to have it removed surgically. Work is gonna suck worse than usual today.
