Mike Leach has arrived. In his SEC debut his QB threw for 623 yards and 5 TDs and upset defending national champion LSU.

Enjoy it.

LSU is the first defending champion to lose its debut since Michigan in 1998. :dhd:

I like the first returning nc to give up 44 points since 1938 something something stat even better....

I posted something similar in the game thread, but this is the most talented roster that Mike Leach has ever had, I didn't envy LSU for being the first team to have to play them. I think we all expected regression from LSU this season too. Miss State will pull some upsets and probably lose a couple games they shouldn't.

641 yards.. 6 Tds Florida over Ole Miss ... Trask was tying records with Burrows

lol it's not about the talent Leach has gotten because his Tech teams had a much better roster compared to what he walked into at MSU..however as he will prove, as will Lane.. is that they will put up points.. they may have a bad week, but these offenses will bounce back. And if they can recruit above avg QBs and WRs..? Watch out.. They won't win a CC, but they will be a problem

Especially if they can find a way to recruit reasonably well.

@Shanemansj13

Did the Miss State University or the football team do any BLM marches or shit like that?

If not, I have a new favorite team.

And it won't be there only loss either.....LOL.

He had a "Better than average" debut, and he will have success like he had at Wash. State and Texas Tech previously. However, he will also have ugly toe stubs, and I doubt he ever wins the SEC West. Going to be fun to watch though!
