Wells out at Texas Tech

they been wanting him gone.. If I were in their shoes I would do everything to get Jeff Traylor from UTSA aboard. He's as Texas as you can get. He also seems to know how to put a good staff together as well. Elite recruiter to boot.

But those guys are so desperate and it seems like the young BMDs want Art, badly.

Dykes get any consideration?

Thank Fucking God

Why did they want him gone?

TTech isn't exactly a program with a winning tradition and half way through the season, he has them with a better record than the previous 3 years, granted they probably lose out, but who ya gonna get?

They were viewed as the 3rd best school in TX and Leach had them regularly beating aggy in his prime there, and they felt bigger. They don't want to be a basketball only school.. seeing TCU/SMU and even UH having more success than them at this point EATS them.

Ttech had Leach and they were doing great things.
Baylor had Briles and they were doing great things.

Every team has their moments, they eventually all slip back into mediocrity. And with the changes to CFB and the world with social media, TTech got bad at the wrong time. Nebraska is in a similar boat, Nebraska only has the history to back it up and TTech doesn't. Baylor got hot at the right time. They are paying for things now, but they are still more recognizable.

TCU was poised in a better situation because of their consistency coming in. SMU would likely not be undefeated right now if they played in the Big12.

Idk man, feels like hopes are too high, but you guys know your Texas schools better.

Dana Holgorsen, back to the Big12

he's already Big12 bound with UH coming in.
True, forgot about that. Then perhaps his former assistant Jake Spavital, coaching Texas State already and Holgorsen/Leach connections

agree -
Jeff Traylor appears to be our best option -
he's an east tx guy, which would be good for recruiting -

I've got a feeling the Sunbelt is about to become the coach feeder league.

This can't be a real thing can it.
They fire the best Coach they ever had because he made a player sit in a shed for a few minutes, and now they want this piece of shit.

Unreal
